Hi everyone,
I was recently competing in a two-day PRS match. I have a Vortex Razor HD Gen II (4.5-27x56) mounted on my rifle. I started day one off great, cleaning a stage and scoring highly on others. All of a sudden I started missing...by a lot. Luckily they had the zero-range open at the end of the day and I was able to check my zero. My zero was off by about 2.0 mils (yes 2.0, not .2) right and about .3 low. I re-zeroed and did much better the second day...
I checked my scope in the Spuhr mount, which was snug. I torqued the ring screws up to 20in/lbs from the original 15 I did when I installed it. Everything else on the gun seemed snug. It's an Accuracy International AT.
This was the fourth match this scope/rifle combination had seen...they have both performed great up until this one incident.
Can anyone shed light on this?
