Wondering if this monocular is a reasonable replacement for decent binoculars.
It would appear to have a bit of magnification advantage compared to weight and space savings. I have not laid hands on one yet, just exploring options. Would be used for hunting and long range spotting and possibly ranging distance.

While not really in the same class, I have the SOLO-RT for traveling light and fast. @ 8x, it does replace my binos but not really a substitute when more mag is needed. Biggest advantage to the lower power is it can be used off-hand with minimal shake. The Recon @2 15x will need a support for any precision viewing IMO. I'm sure the glass is excellent based on my other Vortex products!

I got one for my wife for bird watching. Binos are superior in every way except size/weight - those are really the only advantage. Your rifle scope will be better for spotting compared to this.
