Rifle Scopes vortex strikefire cowitness question

Re: vortex strikefire cowitness question

I can't speak directly to the YHM sights, but with other BUIS I have used in conjunction with the Strikefire (ARMS/Magpul/KAC/Troy) and Vortex's extra-high 30mm ring provide a lower 1/3 co-witness which I personally prefer to an absolute co-witness. I believe that Vortex sells the Strikefire with a lower ring option that may give you an absolute co-witness if that is what you are looking for.

Re: vortex strikefire cowitness question

With the standard ring that came with my strikefire, it is a absolute co-witness I have a fixed front sight post and a magpul mbus and everything lines up quite nice. I also have a sparc on the Ruger I have and its set up the same way, but really like my strikefire.

Standard as in the low ring or high?

Re: vortex strikefire cowitness question

Aimpoint sells a super low ring for mounting red dot sights, works well on my ak with ultimak rail and aimpoint m68 red dot, I can co-witness the irons. The ring is about $30 Should work with the strikefire as long as it is a 30mm tube.
