Vortex Viper HD Spotter

Re: Vortex Razor Spotter

Unfortunately that June date seems like it is going to be fairly accurate. Hopefully it doesnt take any longer than that. If size doesnt bother you the Skyline ED's are on closeout and can be had for very reasonable prices.

The size isn't much of an issue. Just wondering how much of a difference is the glass going to be between the two? Reason I was thinking of this one, is the price, and the wife wants to use it along with the digital camera. If there is going to be a big difference between the glass, I have no problem waiting.

Re: Vortex Razor Spotter

FWIW, and I know it is above your stated price range, but the Razor spotter is extremely nice. I just picked up one and with the ranging reticle I can't imagine one needing anything more for a shooting application. My Kowa has an edge for overall optical quality, but it cost 50% more and no reticle so now it just sits home. Vortex is a company to be reckoned with is all things price/performance.

Re: Vortex Viper HD Spotter

I like what I saw on Vortex Razor HD spotter for $1600. Another similar spotter is ZEN-RAY ED2 for $999 that I saw on SWFA website.
