While waiting for my new v-22 MPA BA Comp. I pondered using my current Ares BTR gen 1 or upgrading. I called Camera Land and now have an Ares ETR 4.5-30 56mm on the way. I can see why they get so much love on the forums. The question now is, what mount? I have a set of PMR Vortex rings, but was thinking about using some more of that elevation. I was leaning towards the MPA one piece with 20moa but I’m not sure what height I’d need to clear the NV bridge. Anyone out there use this combo?

What MOA is your V22 rail? You shouldn't go past 40moa total for rail+rings. Height wise I don't know with the NV bridges as I've never done NV. If it is similar to height if you had an enclosed fore-end, then you would need rings close to 1.4"

30 moa rail on the v22. I have a cz 455 that I regularly shoot out to 400 yards and any extra elevation at that distance is welcomed.

I have a V22 being built and already have the Athlon ETR 4.5-30 Vudoo told me they would recommend a 40MOA Rail as I had enough (32 Mils) in the scope to still zero at 25 or 50 yards.
Yep the told me 40moa for my ares etr. If you're at 30moa + 20 moa rings, 50 moa might be a bit much.

40moa + ETR will get you out to 400 yards.

I emailed the guys at Vudoo and they responded right away. This is what they had to say.
With that scope having 50 MOA total cant will still allow a 25 yard zero. Realistically you'd be able to dial to around 450 without any additional holdover.

As far as rings, anything .990 or higher should clear the barrel and the bolt handle. The nightvision bridge will be an issue with the sunshade and you'll need some really high rings to clear. I'm not sure what height you'll need. The bridge is also removable. It is usually not visible through the scope.

I ordered mine about 6 weeks ago, and just received notification mine was finished and would ship Monday. It was delayed for a bit awaiting the special angled grip I wanted, which just arrived at Vudoo yesterday. I'm happy.

I have an ETR on my vudoo in a MPA BA, 30 MOA rail, 1.5" burris xtr rings with approx 32 MOA built into them.

Still allows me to zero at 35y, leaves 31.4mrad in the turret, NV bridge doesn't interfere. Haven't had any negative effects yet.
