Recently picked up a 5-25 EOTech vudu with md3 reticle To replace my Bushnell DMRii. Love the optic and it’s definitely an upgrade. I rarely to ever use illumination so it wasn’t a concern of mine that its very very dim in daylight. However I just looked at it in dim lighting and its not that it doesn’t work, but I feel my expectations weren't actually being met. There’s dot/diodes in the center and at every mil drop, some numbers seem illuminated but hard to make out. So I took the scope in a completely dark room and it turns out the whole reticle is illuminated but the numbers I thought were illuminated actually have bright spots in them.
Ultimately the illumination is pretty much useless for me outside of the center dot if it was at full brightness and I was shooting in really low light And into an even lower lit area..
Anyone else have a take on their illumination in the 2-25 vudu?
