W-3 Gen 3 Fixed to folder?

Hey guys I was just wondering if a Gen 3 W-3 fixed into a folder? I looked at KRG's website and didn't see anything on there.

Shanerbanner, only the gen 2 could be easily upgraded. The upgrade kit was $450 though. For gen 3 and later you will have to swap out the whole back end. The good news is that the fixed back end will fit on a TRG and you may be able to sell it to someone with a TRG who wants a fixed back end with all of the other features. It will also fit an X-ray if someone has an X-ray and wants to upgrade the buttstock. Thank you,

Hey Massoud, could you replace the X-ray backed with the W3 folding backend? I really love my X-ray, but also like the idea of having a folder.

Hello Shamir, yes you can put the folder on an X-ray. Everything is interchangeable except the X-ray back end won't fit a TRG. Thank you,

Great to know. Just to confirm - the product on the KRG website is Folding Stock for TRG-22/42 ? (Welcome to KRG) It doesn't say that it would fit W3 or X-ray, so just want to confirm before I buy .

Thanks Justin. Had a feeling you'd chime in sooner or later.
I think remember seeing something about a free Gen 1-3 update to the Gen 4, is that a thing and, if so, is it still available?

Shamir, it will fit both, we just hadn't really had a reason to mention that until the X-ray's came out and we just need to update the site. If you have a Remington 700 version of X-ray, you'll need to put those grip panels on the folding back end. If you have a T3 X-ray, the grip panels are the same as the ones for a TRG.

Shanerbanner- we had two programs. One was for original purchasers of gen 1 stocks to get an upgrade to gen 4. That one is basically over as we've contacted all the original customers. The other one was sending out a gen 3/4 style forend for those who have a gen 1/2 style which doesn't have threaded mounting holes on the sides. That one is a free forend with $10 charge to cover shipping. We just need a pic to verify you have the old style.
