Re: Wait time for JP Enterprise rifles

JP is working very hard to ensure they get their product to the customer as fast as possible. They realize the current atmosphere and are doing everything they can.

They even skipped the fun of shot show to stay in the shop and continue working. Their booth and everything was already paid for but they put the customer first.

Re: Wait time for JP Enterprise rifles

It's easy to remove and I'm almost certain it's 5/8x24 thread pitch. The thing to be careful of is the OD of the end of the barrel. Depending on which SF brake you're installing it might be too thick. This is not specific to JP barrels. I had that problem with a new Noveske barrel awhile back. Had to send it off to be contoured so the brake would fit.

As Knight said JP is going balls to the wall to produce and ship complete rifles. Wait times vary depending on specific configuration but they've definitely got their eyes on customer service.

Under normal situations 2 months is not long for a rifle of this quality..... under current situations its not long at all.

Re: Wait time for JP Enterprise rifles

I just ordered mine but I thought I saw somewhere on the web that it'll be 4 - 8 weeks to get the lower, then 6 - 9 months to get the upper. Hoping that's not true. But I suppose better than Larue (12+ months) or LMT (24 months).

Re: Wait time for JP Enterprise rifles

They are manufacturing, selling and transferring lowers as fast as they can in case the worst happens with pending legislation. You then send your lower back to have your rifle built. Smart business practice in light of the current situation.

Waiting times are a crap shoot. It is looking less and less likely there will be a federal ban on "assault rifles" but one never knows...

Be patient, I assure you it'll be worth the wait!

Now THAT'S what I call 'customer-focused'! Doesn't surprise me that JP made the call to focus on his current customers...even at the expense of missing SHOT.

For those that didn't get the stock they ordered....imagine your rifle being delayed for months whilst waiting for said stock. No thanks...

I have a lower that I want to mate with the JP Upper...kicking myself that I didn't order one of these months ago. If anyone is thinking about selling theirs (which is doubtful given their reputation) please send me a PM.

I have a .308 LRP-07 on order, fully tricked out with a 22" barrel and the works. The quote was 16-20 weeks. I don't feel like that's too bad all things considered. I'm already impressed with their customer service, and can't wait to get the rifle in hand. CKruse

I just read an article on the LRP-07. It looks pretty bad-ass. Just went to the JP website, and I didn't realize it came in other cartridges than .308. I may have to start the process of convincing myself that I "need" one in .260.

I called JP a week ago on a 6.5 creed. They aren't doing anything in FDE or Polished finishes. But you can get a black 6.5 creed in 16 weeks is what they said. Good people, I will have one when they start doing their finishes again

JP is good people that like to under-promise and over-deliver.

I ordered 2 SCR-11's back in early January during the height of the panic. They didn't make any promises but estimated 8-9 months.

The complete lower for one of the SCR-11s arrived at my FFL 2 weeks ago. The upper for that rifle is shipping this week.

They are estimating the second SCR-11 will ship as a complete rifle in about 3 weeks. That rifle was delayed because they are completely out of A2 receiver extensions. They offered to install a standard M4 collapsible stock instead of the PRS I had ordered to get the rifle to me quicker. Instead of that I shipped them one of my A2 extensions so they could complete the build.

They are out of certain components right now which may delay your build or result in parts substitution so they can ship your complete lower to you ASAP. Certain magpul grips & stocks are on backorder and they are installing other parts in their place to get lowers out to people ASAP.

Very good people to work with, looking forward to using the rifles!

It does seem like many have been well served by JP. Clearly their rifles are among the best in the business and it does seem that they strive to do the right thing. However, I don't feel my rifle order has been handled as well as some have reported here. I ordered my rifle on January 23 and so far I don't know when I might see any part of it. I see that they are advertising on their website that they now have receiver sets, barrels, etc. in stock to ship. I have also seen some of their rifles NIB beginning to show up in dealers and online. A week ago I sent them an e-mail to see if I could at least get an estimate for delivery. The response I received is below. I know you will all tell me that I just need to be patient and you are probably right, but after waiting for almost 3 months I would have appreciated some effort to give me an ETA and I would have appreciated a better response than what I received below. I have printed out the e-mail and posted it at my desk at work as a reminder to myself to try to always give my valuable customers a better response than this.

Its in process. I don’t have an ETA for you.

I just ordered a LRP07 in 260 and really dont care how long it takes! I know that when it gets here it will get here and I will be happy with that. Sure I hope it does not take a year but it could. You have to understand what is happening in the industry. People do not know when they will receive anything. To be pissed off that they do not have an ETA is crap. Would you rather they lie to you and say two months or say we do not know? I know if I was told two months and didnt get it by then I would be pissed and so would any other customer i told that too. So telling someone that they have no ETA keeps people from becoming pissed when they dont hit a delivery date. Sure you are a paying customer and should get some type of idea but I dont fault them for their response. They are a high end manufacturer with more demand than capacity. You will be waiting a long time.

WTW, those are good points and I appreciate hearing your perspective. I agree it is a difficult time for those in the industry and we should all be understanding of extended wait times. I have bought quite a few guns, accessories, lowers, etc. in the last few months and some of those companies have provided me with good service and even shipping estimates on very hard to find items. And others haven't. Some have done better than others for me. My own personal experience is that my purchasing experience with JP has not been as good as with some other companies. Others have clearly had better experiences with JP than I have. Thanks to Xproducts, Midway, Seekins Precision, Palmetto State Armory, Aztek Arms and Rainier Arms who have provided me with very good service during these difficult times.

I have a JP LRP-07 and LOVE IT, JP's customer service is among the best. They have kept their word from the get go with me. After I ordered my rifle I called and made changes a few times and not once did they give me any problems, in fact they were more than happy to do it. And if all that was not enough, I made more purchases and asked them to install my new items and they were again more than willing to do it without any comments at all. Yeah I know I sound like a commercial but I know many people who own a JP rifle and EVERY ONE of them are happy and have done repeat business with them. I know I will be buying another JP rifle in the future.

You are going to love it. Can't wait to hear how it shoots and looks. It took for ever but I will be posting some pics of mine in a couple of weeks, I wanted to wait so I could go to the range and post some results with it.

I ordered a JP PSC-12 308 upper that just came in and found out I cannot buy 308 lowers anymore in NY after the dumbass SAFE Act. Sigh. Well, if anyone's interested in skipping the line let me know.

i don't know what the current wait time is, but i can say it's worth it!!!
however, i'm a little bothered by the fact that you fellas are ordering them with UBRs and are getting other stocks. if JP can't ship the correctly ordered rifle, they should CONTACT you before deciding to make a change on your behalf. that might just be me, but that's how i see it. i'll be ordering a Silent Capture Buffer in the near future, and if they ship me an M4 buffer ill be really pissed

I think JP has made it pretty well known that they will ship them with standard parts so that people will get the essentials first before any pending legislation. They said they will ship the other parts later as they receive them. I sure wish that was the case last year before our governor jammed the new legislation through and overnight halted sale of AR lowers.

From what I have heard and seen, all the guys are now shipping with the parts ordered. The whole thing about shipping without upgraded parts was only for a short period of time, was listed in the website, not charged extra for doing so, and was simply done to get certain rifles out in order to beat any pending legislation. I think most people would be much happier to receive a rifle with a less fancy stock on it then to wait for an expensive stock only to find out they can't legally own the gun in their state anymore.

Well worth the wait...as you can see....can't wait to take it out to a 1000.
