Hello,

I own the threaded .22 lr P22Q and an El Camino. Because it is a semi auto pisto, do I need a special baffle for these to work together or can I just direct thread and go?

Thanks

Ruben

Direct thread and go. Even in pistol configuration, 22LR is a low-pressure round. That can’s rated for much hotter loads.

ETA: For example, 5.7x28, which is a 50 kpsi centerfire cartridge.

Thats great to hear, thanks for the reply. Just trying to cover the basics, like not trying to get my face blown off. LOL. I mainly was asking because my sig requires a special baffle adapter thingy for the SICO 36M to attach properly. Having trouble finding one

I have a walther p22Q. It doesnt need an adapter because the barrel is mounted to the frame. Mine runs great with my silencerco sparrow ss. You do need the barrel adapter for a suppressor.

The walther 22 barrel adapter just replaces the barrel end nut with one that is threaded and makes it a pain to clean. Cause ya gotta remove it then put in the original then take it apart clean and reverse.

You do not need a piston/booster/Nielsen device on a barrel that is fixed.
The Walther p22q like most 22 handguns has a fixed barrel.
Only adapter you might need is a thread adapter to thread the can on, otherwise you are good to go.

No it requires an adapter but not a recoil type one. Just a solid adapter that replaces the barrel end nut. Walther sells them for like 35 bucks i think. They gave me this pistol to replace the 4th malfunctioning ppk 22 they sent me. And they added the adapter in as part pf the im sorry our pistols dont work deal.

22 suppressors do not need a booster like centerfire suppressors mounted to a pistol barrel that cams. I use a dead air mask on a glock 22lr conversation and it works great.

Boosters are needed on most centerfire pistols because hanging a heavy weight off the end of the barrel makes it hard for the slide to unlock and cycle.

Yes I see that now I am running into this with my 9mm sig and an Omega 36m
