Hunting & Fishing want to go on a wild hog hunt

I I have wanted to go on a wild hog hunt for a while but know nothing about it. I have heard it is fairly easy to get premission to hunt seeing how much damage they cause.

Any helpful tip from anyone who has done it?

Any location suggestions?

Hunt hog all the time up in the everglades. Night vision is the way to go because they usually only come out at night. Land owners especially farm areas will praise you for taking pigs off their land.

Down here in Florida hogs are everywhere. You should be able to find a guided hunt without any trouble.
Be very carefull though. On my lease we had a hog that was so large he was nick named "Moby Hog"; I have heard stories of bullets bouncing off his shield. The shield is mother natures body armor for these large boar hogs. Just ask and someone will have a story to tell about their hog hunt.
They are tuff!!!! I shot one in half once and both halfs got away.
If you have any AP ammo you might want to bring it with you.
But we also use dogs to catch these bad boys and when caught we tie their legs with 'lectric tape.
It's a big deal here in the South.

I would say head south and you will have no problem finding a hunt. You will probably need to hunt over bait or at night. These are fun critters to get after.
