Warhorse Chamber Flag / Coletac Rifle Handle Feedback?

I just ran my first match outside, rifles sat on the ground between stages and just a lot of dust/dirt/wind. Rifle will get pretty mucky, which is fine. I was considering possibly just getting a rifle / scope caddy like -

I'd remove scope caps, and just run these in between stages. And it also covers the chamber to keep all that dust out of it when it's sitting on the ground.

Other option would be to just run my normal scope caps, and get maybe the Warhorse Chamber Flag.

Scope caps on the scope and that is a fine chamber flag. I wouldn't use that carry handle. No need.

The rifle will get dirty at a match. Happens and you clean it after the match. If a two day match I will wipe down my bolt and relube it, clean lug area and dry wipe the chamber after the first day just because I have the option. Your rifle should be able to run with some dirt on it. I only cover my rifle when it rains. I use a TAB cover. That would be a better option than the above carrying handle.

Your basically flagging everyone if you carry that thing around like a suitcase. Usually people put them on at the end of a match and go home. As far as baller chamber flags I constantly lose mine so I hang on to the cheaps as long as possible.

I would skip on the rifle handle. To big and cumbersome. If you want to keep dirt off the lenses, get some cheap simple bikini covers and put them on between stages.

I use to use a chamber flag like that, but it was one I made myself. I found it could get pretty tricky to hold my rifle/mag/brass and loop the bungee's over the scope and bolt and get the plastic part in the chamber all at the same time. I switched to a mag style and it's way easier. The mag style also allows air to circulate through the camber/barrel where the war horse one effectively seals off the chamber. I would think that style would take longer for the barrel to cool down.

I use one of the “customized” Plug’r chamber flags and it’s worth it. Before the stage I take it out slide it into my back pocket and shoot the stage. So far it’s held up fairly well.

As far the rifle caddy, I agree, only if it’s raining but I’m a cheapo so I would use an extra jacket or something else and keep a rag in a plastic bag to wipe bolt, action, etc down the shooter before it’s my turn.

Warhorse chamber flags ae very high quality and work well!! Not much else to say about them. As long as you're getting a chamber flag look at the Warhorse Development Clede bag with git lite fill for a solid bag for positional and prone shooting!!

I like the mag chamber flag after loosing two stick-in-chmaber flags over the course of two matches. I pull mag flag out of the gun and goes into my mag pouch as I put a loaded mag in coming to a stage... seamless and I know where it is at all times. visa Versa when im finished... its baller.

Complacency kills, but the rifle does not have to be carried like a suit case with it on. I've used them and think they are cumbersome for a match, constantly taking it on and off again. The one from Wiebad look nice.
