So I’ve read about cold bore shots and the first round usually being off and a clean/cold barrel. Is it normal for the following rounds to close a group in?
I took my scar 17 out with my new Harris bipod our to do a 25 m zero and see if it was still all over the place or if the issue was my poor marksmanship.
From 25 m my first group was about 4 inches. The second group was about 3 inches, the third group was about 2 inches, Etc.
By my fifth or sixth group it was just under .4”
All shots were with irons shooting prone in about 45/50 Fahrenheit.
Is this normal? I’ve been pretty worried I messed up my rifle with the last few times I went out and shot. But I did get frustrated and stop after shooting 3 groups
