Warning, this might cost you money.Pic Heavy-AX308

Re: Warning...this might cost you money...Pic Heavy

hmmmmm, AR styled stuff on top, slightly modified plastics on the bottom, funky looking barrel with a funny end thingy on it. I dunno man, seems like a lot of funky stuff on a rifle to make it shoot better. Then again I am still in awe over my GAP/AI with it's folding stock and axle weight barrel and still make that fap fap noise over the pics I saw of this one here in the ad when it first came out.
I wonder how they compare at 300M...yeah, that's an invite to come on down, bring that sexy bitch and shoot it

Nice setup!

Kind of like buying a brand new Corvette Z06.

Not knocking it, just jealous...

May I ask what the rig weighs ready to shoot?

Exactly 16 lbs. with bipod and loaded mag.

Re: Warning...this might cost you money...Pic Heavy

Quick question.. Would it be possible to remove the picanty on top of the action and the rails, and still be able to use the Spuhr mount with the S&B?

Maybe the S&B 3-12x50?

Currently it's not available in the US, but who knows what next year may bring.

Great looking rig!!! One thing though, the F1 IS FFP...But regardless, I think you completed one of the most legit setups available...

Re: Warning, this might cost you money.Pic Heavy-AX308

Really like the rifle and would like to have one like is some day....very nice!

Very impressed with the call back from Mile High that lowered your cost $500...how very true most shops would not have done that. I will make a note to do business with them when I order mine. That was a stand up thing to do.

Can you explain the wedge shown under the scope works in the upper pictures?

Re: Warning...this might cost you money...Pic Heavy

the SPUHR tool for leveling the scope is pimp titties i like it better than the feeler gauges because you don't have to find and shuffle the gauges around to find the right height. The
SPUHR tool works every time.

I don't have their mount but when I saw that sold the mounting tool separately snatched one up, so simple it's genius

Re: Warning...this might cost you money...Pic Heavy

Very nice indeed.

I have an AX338 in OD green and a 27" barrel that's just cleared customs in Australia. The green looks great! I have the same mount with a S&B 5-25x56 PMII. Also have a Versapod bipod.

Thanks for the great pics.

Re: Warning...this might cost you money...Pic Heavy

I'm soon to have a 300WM built in an AX chassis, it is number 1 on my priority list right now... it's just so nice! I wonder if I can get the one piece top rail for mine though...

I see... looks good either way.

Sorry bro, I'm about to get a crapload of trigger time in during the week of Xmas and it will be the first time I will get to shoot this with the new Surefire suppressor. I'll have a write up with some detailed pics up soon after Xmas.

Expensive is relative. Send me a PM with what you're interested in and we can give you a rough idea.

As was said above, expensive is relative. To some, they may be quite affordable. To a man with a single modest income with a wife and baby at home, it is nothing more than a wild dream at this point. Some day hope to swing an AE MkII though.

Re: Warning...this might cost you money...Pic Heavy

Beautiful!!
I comprehend your pride as I have an ax308 in black with a sb 5-25 scope.
Incredible rifle - looked thru a borescope....ART!!!

i think i'm inclined to swap out the mark5 rings out for the spuhr mounts.

did u have to drill any holes etc., to attach the grippy cheekrest? i have the quick
adjust system and want to replace it with the vc grippy on top.

congratulations!!!
