I just picked up a G2 Gunslinger II pack and need to get some water bladders for it. My 3L bladders do not fit well in the two interior places for the water bladders. Was wondering if anyone with the same pack has found bladders that work well in the Gunslinger II?

Most Eberlestock packs are designed around Source bladders. If I remember right, the Source 2L fits best in the GS2, with a 3L being a tight fit.

Little less water perhaps?

That could be the solution. Still experimenting a bit with what will work best, especially during matches when I'm away from my vehicle a ways. Normal range time I have access to my vehicle and can bring a larger cooler. Gonna need it this weekend with a heat index of 110 and actual air temps around 100.

The 3L source bladders are too wide for the pockets in the GS2, has nothing to do with the amount of water.

I have the Source 2L and it fits perfectly. It’s on amazon.

HydroPak Shape-Shift 2L. Has inner baffles that when released allows more water (2L), but when attached lays much flatter when you need less water and can still be turned inside out for cleaning.

*1 liter of water = 2.2 lbs.

I prefer the Osprey 1.5 liter LT. It has a tail for the quick detach hose, which makes it easier to disconnect/reconnect the hose when refilling and also comes w/ a magnetic tube holder to attach to the tube and your pack.

I just received my G2 with the Source 3 lt. bladder sold by Elberstock and as said above it doesn’t fit very well (or better it doesn’t fit at all) in the larger internal pockets. I was looking at the Osprey and it looks like the 1,5 lt. is wider than the 2 lt.. Since the pockets are around 13 cm each the 2 lt. might fit better than the 1,5. Another thing I have noticed is that there are issues in making the Source bladder tube pass through the slits as they are to tight.
I was also thinking of getting two bladders( one placed in each pocket) in order to have a better weight balance and more water capacity.
Does any one have info or suggestions?
