We just dropped MOAB(s) in Afghanistan.

If you're going to send a message, you don't drop one bomb, you drop five at the same time in close proxcimity and tell them you only dropped one bomb. And you don't tell the world you only have twenty, you tell them you have two thousand on hand. Then tell them within 24 hours you can produce three a day.

the comment i kept hearing on the news which made me laugh like crazy was "The unclassified number of MOAB's that we have is 15" "so there are only 14 more that we know about from the unclassified numbers?"

Reports (for what they are worth) 36 killed. Report also says villagers some miles away are pretty damn impressed. As they felt the earth shake.

I hope the significance of the very close proximity to the Pakistan border isn't lost on you guys, I doubt the clowns in the tribal regions missed the hint (and shockwave).

Top 5 things Mattis might have said before authorizing a MOAB ; 1 Hold my beer . 2 What's this one do . 3 Maybe he gave the Redneck pass word . Watch this . 4 Look what I can do . 5 Happy Easter .

Karzai, that mother fucking piece of shit, needs to be put in a fucking hole in the desert. Looks like he's maneuvering to take back power in Afghanistan...

Yeah I saw where he was condemning the bombing and calling for the ouster of the US . He got billions of our fuckin dollars and now he's effin us from behind . I say behead the fucker so that it looks local and then problem solved . Then take all of his money and finance a few more MOABs . We may even protect the honor of a few goats in the process .

If we were Russia, he would be dead. Why, oh God why do we always seem to pick people to put into power and give a shit ton of money that end up turning against us. That Mother Fucker needs to be strapped to the next MOAB and returned to the country he clams to love. Afghanistan can have that turd pile.

Prior to his President gig he was part restaurateur in Cambridge Massachusetts. The restaurant still exists I think his sister runs it now. I guess afghan war lord is much better than serving up goat anuses.

I'm under the opinion that this is according to plan.
Why would "they" get rid of any regional boogie man?
This keeps the money wheel rolling in all the right directions.

Yep. Under the Taliban heroin production was 0 percent. It became the only Afghan industry after our involvement and I understand the corrupt officials made the profits. Eradication was frowned upon as it was more or less the graft used to keep the trade runners from fighting our troops.

Never was a more just cause for war turned into an abomination by our political leaders. Well maybe not never...

The Taliban only had one year of the near zero poppy crop (2001), and it was a result of both a bad drought and massive executions to prove their point. Following the '01 invasion, the farmers took back to raising what they had done for decades. The biggest issue on the eradication side was it was all controlled by the Provincial and District Governors on where they could and could not cut, most all of whom were major poppy growers themselves, and of course that was all tribal where you could only cut to remove their competition. In 2007 we were ramping up big time to spray herbicide (RoundUp) from the air, Karzai smacked that shit down by invoking Agent Orange stories to protect his family's own fields. Without aerial spraying, the eradication mission was virtually ineffective and a waste of money and resources. It was scrubbed under the guise they didn't want to hurt the poor, pitiful farmers (yeah, right, Karzai was the biggest drug lord of them all), and went after the traffickers instead to the same level of productivity as eradication, tips leading to the competition, not getting Afghan approval (the whole "Afghan Led" thing) to pursue other shipments, etc.

The only times the poppy growers stopped fighting our troops was planting season and harvest season. The rest of the year, their plow was a PKM.

I definitely agree the war was turned into an abomination though. NATO fucked that whole mission up on the inception of ISAF and opening the first PRT.

Good info thank you.

I find it sad that under our presence the poppy trade hasnt been eradicated. I think Russia and china have a legitimate beef with us allowing the shit out of Afwanistan.

I also find it interesting that our own heroin problem has arisen since the turn of the century. Almost like our pols realized the money they are missing out on by observing their Afwan siblings.
