FNG with a question. I am in the process of putting together my first medium range gun. It is a .308 Remington 26 inch sps varmint with a weaver 4-20 mil mil tactical. I just ordered Seekins medium rings with there 0 cant base. SWFA said with that scope and a 20 degree base I may not get a 100 yard zero. I am planing on shooting paper and steel at a max of about 800 yards. Not sure if I should have ordered the canted base or not and just wanted to get some opinions. Thanks

It all depends on how many mils you have left after zeroing the rifle. I would have gotten a 20 moa rail if I was you.

That weaver model is weak in terms of adjustment. I would get a 20moa rail.

Nighforce makes 15moa bases, that's an option.

You could do a 15 moa scope base. That should cover you on the short and long end of things.
