First off.... it’s not the “scope of the month”..... well it might have been the “scope of the 15 minuets” when it came out 4 years ago.

In another post, scopes were related to women, this is not a sexy German in a slinky black dress, this isn’t even that hot country girl down the county road that drives an open-top jeep in a bikini. This scope is the Ford excursion driving milf that has a few extra pounds in all the right places and knows how to change her own tires. Simply put, I find this an attractive scope that is ready to put in work. Yes the reticle is basic, yes it is heavy (~40oz) but it is an excellent example of a LOW optic with excellent turret feel and a zero stop. Glass being so subjective, I’m not going to comment much on it. It is clear. I will add more later as I get time with it. I’m really only making this post because there is so little information out on it, yeah I know it’s already an outdated design compared to what is coming from the big guys, but hopefully this will answer some other questions of people wanting to know more about it as an inexpensive alternative that will still accomplish the task.

The Turrets are interesting, The elevation adjustment is super tactile and audible, little to no wiggle in between clicks. The windage turret feels completely different, it isn’t as tactile and it is almost silent. It’s still has a very good feel but it is drastically different than the elevation. That was surprising.

The eye box is extremely forgiving even at full power. I wish I had more time to spend with it on the rifle. Am extremely impressed so far.

How low does the parallax adjust?

It is a side adjustment, I messed with it for a couple minutes before work. Had time to set diopter and that’s is. I actually like the simplicity of the reticle more than I thought I would. It’s still not as useful as a Christmas tree, but dialing will be fine.

I have a couple of the 3-15's. Glass is VERY good for the price point. Tracking has been right on the money. I wish they had zero stops, they are too damn heavy, and the turrets are just ok, reticle is mehh. Other that I love them. I've recommended them to a couple buddies and they are happy with them as well.

I'm really kicking myself I didn't pick one of these up when Natchez had them with 10% off and the Weaver rebate. It was a smoking deal.

I ordered a 3-15 Super Slam FFP mil/mil iemdr. My schedule hasn't been the best to go out and test it yet. I figured for $540 it was worth a shot.

That is still a great scope! If I hadn’t found a 6-30 at a good price, I was going to try the 3-15 or 4-20.... very solid stuff.

Natchez has the non-illuminated 3-15 weaver tactical for 499 right now. Pretty hard to beat, I am considering picking up another myself.

That scope is mil/MOA and travel is limited compared themil/mil model. If you can live with that then do it. Otherwise the extra $100 is worth matching reticle, turrets and illumination.

The specs both on natchez and on weavers website shot it as mil adjustments as well (800382). Only the 1-5 (800364) has moa adjustments.

That said Im not sure why it looks like the pics on natchez show 1/4 dashes and not 1/10th, midway has a proper picture of the scope though its the enchanced mildot (800363) compared to the normal mildot that is on sale at natchez.

35Y. The tracking on mine were spot on. The only things I did not like were the reticle, FOV, and eye box. The small FOV coupled with the unforgiving somewhat small eye box made it feel like looking through a pin hole. The FOV at 6x is only 9ft.

The FOV has to be a typo, looking across my street at 6x is ~6’. I will measure it at the range if my rings get here before dark.

This isn't correct, I just put the $499 one from natchez on a buddies rifle a week or so ago. It is mil/mil. Hasn't been on the range yet to see about travel, but the scope appears the same as mine other than illumination.

So, I took it to the range and got it zeroed but ran out of time to set zero stop correctly, then my phone died before I could pull up Ballistic AE. So I never even shot past 100. But it tracked well when I got it on paper. Wish I had more time with it. But I like it so far

Good to know. In the past Natchez has been known to post wrong info with the pics. The pic must be from the old tactical s when they were MOA adjustments. Definitely shows MOA in the pics.

For anyone who is interested in flip-up scope caps that THREAD into the objective bell on your Weaver 6-30x56, tenebrax makes both Objective and Ocular scope caps that will fit. The part numbers for the Objective Flip-Up cover is: adapter ring=56NFCC-AR and flip cover=SB5603-FCV.

For the ocular scope caps, here are the part numbers (the adapter ring and flip-cap are sold together in one package):
For a completely solid (black) ocular cap=UAC006-FCR
    For a see-thru ocular cap=SDO000-FRA012-CCR

Please note, these were designed for Nightforce ATARC 5-25x56 (44mm Ocular) but they also fit Weaver 6-30x56 because they share the same housing. I originally purchased the Aadmount scope covers for my Weaver 6-30x56 but ended up removing them because they are too bulky.

Tracking was spot on out to 800 so far, I dialed out from 400-800 multiple times then back to the hard zerostop then shot this 5rd group in the wind and hot barrel with a Suppressor. I was not as consistent as I could have been. It was me, not the gun lol. Had my .308 shot as good as this 6.5, I would have kept it.
