You buy an AWM and AW50,
Then you diversify your colors
one AW in hydro-dipped Multicam
one AW in green
one AW in tan
one original AICS AW chassis in black
one AICS AT chassis in green
new AWSM in 338lm is in green with original fluted barrel and muzzle break.
been shopping for ammo... one maker has their velocity and energy numbers flipped. I was like "4,471 FPS at the muzzle? no chance."
An AI rifle in .338/20mm Vulcan sounds pretty epic, lol

Congratulations on your new acquisition. I found mine in 2011 when stationed in the UK. I had the opportunity to run it though it's paces with Lydd Club on the southern coast of the English channel.

Yes, the transit case is original. I found some of the internals but the CES is far from complete.
i dont know if i want an actual transit case but i need something bigger than the IM3300 Pelican. its snug in there with the but and muzzle up against the sides.
a non-AI explorer case may be a better way.

i could use my 30 cal can on that if i went that way. as of now, i dont have a 338 can and thats an inconvenience.
whats the tenon threads on the old AWSM? i am certain the new AXSR pre-sit barrels will not fit it becuase i think they changed the action tenon threads?

yes i did. spendy but i thought price was right for a rare gun. need to swap scope out to a Schmidt and Bender
It was a good price. You did very well. Hawk that Trijicon off of it and get some money off a PMII. I believe there was some good deals on them recently in the marketplace here.
