This morning 1st light, Had to thread a bullet through and on other side, of both sides of a Horse corral 'galvanize pipe fencing' where Coyote was positioned . Only 130 yrd. shot, , but Corral fencing had the body hid and only see his legs, but had a head bobbing up-down head, as target .
Coyote 'was' Well Schooled chicken killer . Never moving in open pasture . Always coming in through trees and brush . Always every time hitting in that crappy light right between Dark and morning Sunlight . To much light for using the NV clip-on, but shitty light for rifle day scope to get crisp viewing . But that is the time when Chickens start popping out from the roost, scratching and running around and he new how to get them .
He was making me get up at 04:00 every morning . Was my third morning getting in and getting set-up in the Dark and waiting him out, hiding across the other side of horse pasture to spot him sneaking in . last 2 times never got a clear enough target and had to hold the shot in such a tight area . But this morning I had his routine down and punched his ticket . .308 win, 110 grn. Vmax @ 3100 Vel. is nice flat shooting and pinpoint accurate .
