One of my favorites. Not one of my sharpshooter or sniper rifles, but nevertheless unique. This is “Winchester’s Mauser.” This is the first month production GEW98 that Mauser used as a factory test rifle until selling it to Winchester circa 1906. After testing and reverse engineering it, the Winchester Repeating Arms Company rifle retired in 1908 from the tool room to the reference collection. It was copied as the Model 54 and became the Model 70. After providing the receiver for the Model 40 Sniper, Winchester still is manufacturing the Model 70 in Portugal. Of interest is the rare GEW98 commercial proof and the first month of production serial number. Enjoy.

It’s a newer version then what I carried in late 80s and 90s in 2nd Force Recon but my authentic MEUSOC 45 (built off final edition parts list) and built at Precision Weapons in Quantico by armory legend CWO 5 Feeny before he passed away is my favorite weapon. I got rid of Pachmeyers I hated em back in day just used skateboard tape on my Meusocs but other then that she’s legit

Maybe not super “cool”, definitely not as cool as others in here but for sure one of my favorite to shoot and is always a crowd favorite when I bring it out for people to play with.
the ruger 300 blk bolt gun that feeds from AR mags. Shooting subs with the right can all you hear at shooters ear is the firing pin. Such a fun gun

Then for pure cool factor I have a FNX45 with a matching FN branded suppressor. My understanding is there was only 5 or 6 of these cans made and were never made available to anyone.

What a piece of history, how did you acquire it?
I trade for firearms quite a bit. Historically significant weapons with documentation are my favorites. And, I like to shoot a variety of guns.

This Model 1760 six pound gun was produced before 1772. The trunnions are below the bore axis and has no rim bases. The vessel she was on started a career as a Patriot privateer roving as the Charming Sally. After capture in 1778, she recommissioned as the HMS Barbuda until she surrendered to the French former Yorktown fleet in 1782 in the Caribbean. They dumped ordnance overboard into fresh water mud. In 1995, this gun was dredged. I obtained the gun, a solid shot, grape shot and hand grenade in a trade from the gent who observed the recovery and brought it to the States. It is believed to be the only gun of this model in private hands in the Western Hemisphere. It is my responsibility to research and preserve this artifact.

Coolest...
This doesn't look like much. It's an Essex frame, with a Colt Slide, Clark barrel and comp. But...
It was built and owned by Ron Wannanan. You can find his name in Col Beckwiths book. He was the original armorer to Delta. I met Ron in about 87 or 88, he taught me to shoot a handgun. He passed away while I was deployed to Desert Shield/Storm. I was able to purchase it from his wife, thru Dave Chattelier...another hero, read Rescue my Child.

Gun locks up like a cats ass in a rain storm, and shoots awesome.

Desert Tech is my most awesome firearm. Nothing can touch it’s versatility and compactness. No matter how short your barrel is on a traditional rifle, it will always be shorter on the DT. 😄

Love mine too!
It's still short with a 31" barrel and 11" supressor. 223 WSSM, 6.5 PRC, 300 WM, 338 LM barrels, not sure what's next.

I was going to say the dude with the 50-cals won this thread but then I saw this and you totally win. I mean Mortal Kombat-style "Flawless Victory" .... TOASTY!!!

And yeah, she's Totally Legit brotherman. And thank you for your service- some people consider that a d-bag type of thing to say, but I mean it from the bottom of my heart and with an appreciative soul.
