I have a Nightforce 12x42 NXS to put on a Rem 700 short action. It will be mostly used in local comps. Also what bases are you using ??
Thank you,

I use the EGW aluminum 20moa base on my open rifle and have several TPS bases on other guns. Both are very good in my opinion. For my rings I only use the Burris Signature Zee rings with the inserts on scopes I want to make sure don't get marks. On the others I use TPS rings that I lap.

Nightforce Ultra light rings along with a Nightforce base will serve you well. Probably need at least a 20MOA base if you are going to shoot distance with that particular scope.
+1 on the Burris Signature Zee rings. These things are a too well kept secret. You can get inserts for them that will provide the added elevation in lieu of spending the money on a 20 moa base, too. They work great.

I run Farrell rings with a NightForce 20moa base. The scope is a Sightron 8-32x56 LRMOA. I'm testing everything tomorrow morning at 1,000 yards at this place:
I'm very stoked to be here, at the Carlos Hathcock 308 Challenge!
