Wanting to pick up some 10 rounders and was wondering what works best for everyone. Been looking at the ARC mags or the accurate mag aics mags. Was curious what everyone else uses/likes and why they like that particular mag.

What are best mags to use in Accuracy International AT?

Nope, I mean a brand new accuracy international AT LE that is on its way from mile high.
Upgrading from my ruger precision.
Well... I guess that WOULD make sense.
But with that said has anyone had good luck running accurate mags? Im just asking mostly in the event that I find some used mags for a good price that arent AI specific mags.
I am obviously new to the world of AI, and the thing I am most uneducated about in general is magazines in precision rifles.

Folks don’t use AI mags in AI rifles to be brand loyal.
The AT and AW use AI double column double feed mags. The Accurate Mags are AICS (AI Chassis System) type mags and will not work in an AI AT or AW. You have to use Accuracy International AW/AT mags.

You will need to run AW mags as M1match stated above.
I tried AI AICS and Magpul AICS pattern mags in my AT. Both are a no-go.
The double stack AW’s really hold eleven though, so look on the bright side.

Plus you can top load through the ejection port if needed, and the mags are shorter (height-wise) and plenty long enough length-wise to load most rounds long. Frankly, I see AW/AT mags as a win all the way around.
The only downside is you can’t take off the bottom plates, or use the 12+ round magazines if stages require such shenanigans. But like you said, the advantages are there and worth it.
Nothing feeds better in an AI AT then AW mags.

There is no reason to even want to run anything other than AW mags, even if the rifle could. Hands down, best mag on the planet.
At some point, you’re going to run out of ammo. Might as well learn how to reload... ?
Nah man, im working on a proprietary belt fed system for the AT. Obviously it is still in the works but I will keep everyone updated if I get something figured out.
I have never used or messed around with an AI AT, I played with a buddies ax308 but that is about my experience with AI. Ive done enough research to decide it is the route I want to go for an all in setup after replacing my RPR, which replaced my old rem700.
I assumed the AT used AW mags but honestly wasn't 100% sure. Until everyone here cleared that up for me.
Rifle should be ready for pickup this wednesday or something so that will be fun. And I think I will order a couple extra AW mags since I think it comes with just the 1 mag.

I’ve been shooting my AI AT in 6.5CM for going on 2 years in competition. Stock AI mags, as stated, are the gold standard in mag performance. I, knock on wood, have NEVER had a magazine related issue while competing. That says a lot since we are moving, shooting off rooftops, tires, you name it.
The mags will very reliably hold 11 rounds in 6.5CM.
I have like 5 mags. Just because I’m a bit OCD, and wanted to ensure I had plenty of the need ever arose.
You are in for a whole new world of awesome with the AI. It is the pinnacle of bolt rifle performance. I regularly shoot against MANY guys running full house custom guns. None of them shoot “better” than my AI. The shooters may, but rifle for rifle, I’ll do the Pepsi Challenge with anyone while running my AI AT. My 6.5CM will do .5-.6 moa with factory Hornady 140 ELD-M. My 6mm CM will shoot .24-.37 moa. I have pic after pic of groups in that size range.
The RTZ after removal of the barrel is absolutely mind blowing.

That is what I have heard from a lot of people which is why I chose to go the AI route rather than a custom setup. Listening to Frank and Mike talk about them on the every day sniper podcast was one of the big deciding factors to go AI rather than something else. Definitely going by the buy once cry once motto right now.
Gotta say, a little bummed it didn't come with it's own model serial number, like 19 AT LE xxxx. Just has a standard at serial which makes sense, but was hoping for just that little bit extra cool factor.

Yep, but it is just stamped as an AT as far as model goes, rather than AT LE. I figured it would have been a low serial number rifle with the new model stamp. Obviously it makes sense it is only stamped AT, because the only thing different is the stock and factory AI barrel offerings.
We just did the same thing the factory is doing. I'm not surprised it's not marked L.E. I also wouldn't be surprised if A.I dealers are doing the L.E conversions in their shops.I’ve got a 17 AT LE
Just kidding. I converted mine.
Costly upgrade that I can't justify. I put the adjustable butt plate and thumbscrews on my AT stock. Worked out really well. I also want a southpaw to do the install on a LH version to see how that goes before I try to justify the cost.
I’m getting closer to the conversion everyday. Every time I transport it or drop down on it, I think about how much more compact, secure and comfortable my AXMC is.
The only down side I’ve found is that my wallet was lighter.
So is mine. But from the factory AT buttstock folds to the opposite side of the bolt handle increasing its footprint when folded. The AX buttstock can solve that issue.

The funny thing is that my LH AT folds to the right and I believe the RH AT folds to the left...
My AT and AXMC are both LH. My AT folds to the right. When installing the AX buttstock on a LH model, you can de-bond, flip, and re-bond the hinge 180° so that it will fold to the left, capturing the bolt handle.

Yeah the AT LE for whatever reason is an LEO only sale direct from AI at a discount, whether department or individual. MHSA is obviously a distributor for AI and can do the conversion for you, but you will obviously be paying quite a bit more than what I had to pay if you are going brand new. They do the conversion for like 975 or something including labor.
So in theory, if you picked up a used AI AT for around 3100 or so, paid MHSA to do the conversion for you, you could get exactly what I have for about the same price or even a little bit under.
I juggled around the idea of getting a used AT and paying MHSA to do the conversion, but ended up just going the brand new route. Mostly because I would be spending about the same amount of money if I bought a used AT with a SFP and converted it.
Yeah like I said, I was pretty bummed it wasn't stamped L.E. or anything. So it pretty much looks like I just did the conversion. And we all know the most important thing about shooting long distance is looking cool. And there is nothing cooler than having a unique identifier from the factory...

Forgot to say, it is possible that AI North America did the conversion, but as far as I understand they came from the factory in their current configuration. I was in pretty steady contact with MHSA about the arrival of the rifle, all the way from getting shipped from AI in the UK to AI North America to MHSA to my FFL.
