Considering somewhere between Vortex Viper and Diamondback but also Athlons, etc... Is ranging eyepiece valuable?

At 68 y.o. I ain't shooting PRS, but I did get a Leupold Mk 4 12-40 x 60 spotting scope with a TMR mil reticle and I'm very happy with it.Considering somewhere between Vortex Viper and Diamondback but also Athlons, etc... Is ranging eyepiece valuable?

I have two Strike Eagles - love them...
Looks good but $$$ beyond what I am looking at...At 68 y.o. I ain't shooting PRS, but I did get a Leupold Mk 4 12-40 x 60 spotting scope with a TMR mil reticle and I'm very happy with it.
One thing (well, two things) you might like about this scope for PRS is the mil reticle and that its very compact.
