What are good spotting scopes for PRS and/or 22LR

Considering somewhere between Vortex Viper and Diamondback but also Athlons, etc... Is ranging eyepiece valuable?
At 68 y.o. I ain't shooting PRS, but I did get a Leupold Mk 4 12-40 x 60 spotting scope with a TMR mil reticle and I'm very happy with it.

One thing (well, two things) you might like about this scope for PRS is the mil reticle and that its very compact.

I am looking at spotting scope (not "sporting" as I said in title :) ).

I have two Strike Eagles - love them...

Looks good but $$$ beyond what I am looking at... :(

I have an Athlon Ares that smoked this Bushnell Elite.....still have the Athlon and use it regularly. Couldn't sell the Bushnell fast enough. I don't think Athlon makes this spotter any longer, but I'd look at their Cronus spotter. Best value in the optics world IMHO.

Athlon just released a ranging reticle that can partner up with their new released UHD Ares spotter, might be worth looking at.

I'm using the Cronus Tactical Spotter (bought on here for $775) and I like it a lot. I put it up for sale, but then took it back down and kept using it :) I was thinking about upgrading to a Leupold Mark4, but... even with a discount it's $1200-1300 and the Cronus Tactical Spotter has a much nicer reticle. I considered the H33 reticles but that is $$. Though if someone is interested maybe I'll have another $1000 or so saved up to get the MK4 H32/33 for my birthday in a month.

I find the ranging eye piece really useful so I can call out adjustments when someone misses instead of people doing guestimates like "you're uhm about 3" off".

I also like it as a ranging/sizing tool to understand the size of target I'm working with so if I'm planning how I'm going to attack a stage I kind of know where are the 'easy' shots and where are the hard shots, so I make sure I time myself to get the freebies on the generous sized targets.

My .02, get a good set of binos. Hard to convey just how effective they are on a tripod...it’s incredible. Literally was watching bullets and trace from 150-1850 this past weekend with a set of 10x HDB 3000s and no eye fatigue. Did it for hours. A set of 12x or 15x on a tripod would be even better. If you’re going to hand hold them 10x is probably max. You don’t need a reticle if your shooter has a ffp scope. Describe the impact location based on target width height (I.e. Impact quarter target left, 1 target low, etc). The shooter can measure the miss value with their reticle and make the adjustment.
