What are the differences between the RCBS Trim pro and Trim pro 2 & what are the needed/best accessories?

Cant wait any longer for a power trimmer to come along, SO gonna just buy one.
I have pretty much decided to buy the RCBS Trim Pro or Trim Pro2.
What are the differences between the Trim Pro and Trim Pro2?
What are the needed accessories?
I see there are two available "shell holders" and a different cutting head. RCBS 3-way cutter.
Anything else that you would order with these trimmers besides a Giraud? (just thought I would beat some people to the punch..)

Anyone have any experience with these items that would please share their thoughts?

Trim Pro 2 utilizes a universal shellholder, goofy jaws with springs. The Trim Pro used shellholders, plates, you had or have to swap according to case head size just like press shellholders, it came with 8-9 of them, and pilots. There were some different or non popular pilots, and the same in shellholders, but there is really only one option, that is the 3 way cutters. I've owned both, and I could never see how they were called 3 way cutters, the deburr and chamfer cutters did all the work, if you had it set so brass got into the main cutter, the machine would rachet that pc of brass up right now.

That said, and I know you didn't want to hear it, beg, borrow, steal, but get the Giraud.
Edit: Did I mention it sucked using one, cause it sucked, bigtime. Only the TP2 is sold today, you'd need to find a used trim pro.

I can still buy a new Trim pro, one of my distributors have them on sale. I think the old model is $50 cheaper.

So did you like the shell holders or the goofy she'll holder? I see they offer two different ones.

If you had the cutter set up correctly did you still have an issue with the brass chucking out of the holder?

Am I correct in thinking there is a .22 cal and a .30 cal 3 way cutter? I like the idea that it is a one step process and I don't have to handle them again if I use the cutter.

Gosh, if memory serves me, the universal was the better unit. the older one you had to operate a lever to set and free a case.
I thought I had my cutters set properly, who knows, worked here, I was referring more to the spring tension you set on the rail system, you want it to feed, not too fast<bad, but not slow either, nice even pressure.
Pretty sure you can buy 3 way cutters from .17-338 cal.

It sounds like the universal with the lever would be pretty fast loading and unloading cases.
One of the things I don't like about my old manual cutter is inserting the case and having to tighten the holder, so slow.... I have a few hundred cases to trim in two Calibers so I'm wanting to get it done quickly and the RCBS is less than half the cost of the Giraud.
