Not a fan of the SR. And they all taste better when you open them
You should make Poor Mans Pappy with the 12 and 107
That's the "SB Blend" from the board that came up with it. Still have a few age stated 7 year Antiques left for that. You should make Poor Mans Pappy with the 12 and 107

have not seen that in our ABC stores,
I don't think that is available in VA,,Hype and a fancy bottle. When I first started drinking Blantons it was the same cost as ER. In a blind test, you’d be surprised how many prefer ER to Blantons.
Old elk is good. It’s a rather sweet, easy drinker. I try to always have one open.
You gotta take it on 4 oz at a timeFinishing off a bottle of this being the commies in TSA won’t let me bring it on the plane. View attachment 7720526Costco special for $10.
Not a huge wine guy, but it went well with a steak Monday night.
Found a case of this for $18/btl in WV.
It’s $35 in VA.

Try Ron Centenario from Costa Rica.El Dorado 12 is one of my favorite rums
Livin' large there!Gran Patron Burdeos w/ a Julius Caesar cigar.
Both are ok IMO but not mind blowing. Probably comparable. It’s been a minute since I’ve had it and don’t have any now to compare. Moved on to tequilaHow does that Madeira finish compare to the standard Portwood 21? I have to confess that my last bottle of the Portwood left me a bit disappointed - it wasn't bad by any means, just not quite up to the level of quality I've had before. It seems to be happening to a lot of whisky brands lately.
Well, Jen Suckie has more-or-less said that "smart" people should have all their Christmas shopping done by now, so...Jeez Louise, it isn't even Halloween yet and Egg Nog on the shelf already?
I have to confess to total ignorance of the existence of this spirit until you posted up. A little research came up with the following description of it:If you don't have any Laird's products in your stash, I'm sorry but you suck as an American.
Welcome to your birthright in spirits!I have to confess to total ignorance of the existence of this spirit until you posted up. A little research came up with the following description of it:
"A nice alternative to cognacs or Calvados. It is to Calvados what armagnac is to cognac – a cousin from the provinces (or in this case the colonies) that has more texture, body and aroma. All around, an interesting tipple that is worth a try."
I'll have to search it out now.![]()
Whiskey/whisky derives from the gaelic uisge beatha, which means "water of life". The similar sounding slavic vodka comes from wodka/woda which means "little water". It appears that there's a very ancient Indo-European common root word for "water" at the source of all of these names. So we're all on the same page, more or less, and have been for thousands of years. Cheers!why a glass of icy cold water not even with a twist of lemon just plane old water well at least it's filtered maybe maybe not .

No. Blanton's has the high rye mashbill (No.2 mashbill). Eagle Rare the low rye mashbill (No.1 mashbill) The Wheated mashbill rounds out the three that Buffalo Trace uses. It’s older Blantons. Eagle rare and Blantons always had the same mash bill when I checked.
