Think of it like this, people change barrels on m-14's,AR's, but,as good as they are they will still be lacking when they come up against a worked up bolt gun....G.M's are good,I have several,better than most stock Ruger barrels..not as good as Kidd, or Fedderson,Voltquarsen,ect. STILL it has to do with the rest of the components and how its put together....not to mention ammo....putting a lot of money in a 10/22 is indeed "lipstick on a pig" but I have done it over and over...now I'm trying to teach it to dance......
