just picked up a pair of swaro el 10x42s now im looking to buy a harness/cover for carry. i was looking at 4 different one's sitca, extreme x, Alaska guide and kuiu with kuiu being the leading contender i have never owned any products from kuiu so looking for advice or any other suggestions.

I run an Eberlestock Nosegunner, have a pair of 10x42 els and Leica 10x42 Range. Fits the both nicely, I like the way it secures and I carry a pistol in the back pouch. Do a lot of hunting in AZ, lot of brush busting at times, keeps everything clean and protected.

I'm running the same setup, swaro 10x42s with the Kuiu harness. Fit is great. Whole setup works very well. Highly recommended. I've bought a lot of kuiu stuff over the years, and everything has been top notch.

I've had the AGC harness for a bit now. Holds a set of Steiner HX10x42s. Also holds my rangefinder, kestrel, a knife and a small data book. It's awesome and does more than I had originally planned for. Comfortable, doesn't slide around and is quiet. Easy to get glass in and out of. Haven't seen or used the other brands but I'm happy with my AGC. Hell, the owner of the company called me a month or two after buying it to see how I liked it and to talk about glass, hunting and general bullshit. Great company.

I went with Alaska Guide Creations also. Very well quality made product. They holster a pair of 8X45 Zeiss Range Finder Bino's. They are and huge and barely fit in the harness, but those big Zeiss binos make me feel like a U Boat Commander.

If you search online, Aron Snyder did a post comparing a few of these, that might help you flesh out what you want. I went with the AGC. Thought it might be a bit bulky, but it's become a really convenient item that I love, as it holds my absolute essentials all together (binos, camera, RF, Kestrel, headlamp, firestarter stuff, lens cleaner stuff, and a few other things). Some like a more minimalist solution, though they have that too. Black Ovis has a pretty good comparison video of AGC's offerings out there, helped me make my choice as well.

thanks for the feedback guys, so much AGC! I was looking to keep it light and slim so there isn't as much interference with a bow and or a backpack which i thought kuiu would help with (the AGC just looks bulkier.) I watched the blackovis videos awhile back but i need a refresher on them.

I have the Kuiu but haven't been impressed.
what was everyone not impressed with on the kuiu? size, weight, straps, difficult to open, two piece system..etc?

FWIW, if you really need a cover then this is not what you want. However, I use the Rick Young Ultra-light bino harness for all my hunting. Lightweight, multiple carry positions, quick into action, and I was surprised how light the binos felt with this harness. The usually end up tucked under my right arm or just behind it. Never in the way.

AGC. Great coverage if you end up in snow, rain. Enough space to have RF, tags, wind check, tripod adapter, etc while still not interrupting drawing a bow or shooting a rifle. 12x50 Razor Binos fit just right in the original size pack designed for 10x42s

I have just ordered a FHF Gear PRO-M harness, shoulder strap upgrade, laser range finder and kestrel pouch. Read a lot of positive reviews about their gear.

Nice, sleek, solid materials and additional mods.

Honestly havent had a chance to use them much, I work overseas and when I was home this last rotation I realized the KUIU harness did not fit my binos. I have the newer Swaro EL Range 10x42 and they have a quick disconnect for the Swaro comfort strap. KUIU said Swaro has pieces needed but I did not have a chance to call and order them. They are not on the swaro site.

Other than that the KUIU are great, minimal in size and streamlined. If you are looking for something to hold extra goodies these arent for that.

Thanks for the feedback I also plan on keeping my harness light and less bulky. will be buying the AGC

Well? you likey?

I need one also. Either this or AGC. cant decide. Steiner 8x RF binos for field matches and hunting.

I've got the XL Kuiu for my HD-B 10x42s. The harness is great and fits over tshirts as easily as down parkas. I've found it protects the binos well while crawling through thick crap and I'm not worried about them getting scratched. Highly recommend them. You can add a ammo card onto the bottom with some velcro, I think Kuiu has something for a rangefinder solution too if you have a separate RF.

Compared to Skinny's bino pouch, they are much more minimalist. I'll sometimes use Skinny's pouch if I am just walking about without a pack or predator hunting to store calls in the side and an extra mag in the back.

Sorry mate, yeah I DO like it. Wore it for a week straight in April. Bino's, Sig Kilo 2200MR in the small LRF pouch on one side and the Kestrel in the small pouch on the other side. Small wind check powder bottle tucked into the mesh sack on the main bino pouch.
VERY comfortable, didn't go anywhere that week without it...

Not purpose built for binos, but I use my HPG Kit bag for a lot of that kind of stuff. Just depends what size stuff you want to carry.

Alaskan Guide Creations has worked for me the past two years. I can fit my Swarovski SLC 10x42s and Leica 1600B just about petfectly. It has a couple other small pouches for stowing random necessities.

I’ve tried a few and liked the Badlands as they seal up tight with the magnet all around the opening. They fit my Leica HdBs.
Eberlestock and Sitka work ok too. Get your hands on a few and try them out.
