This caught my eye over in the training/classes sub-forum. Pic thread from Alaska Precision Rifle AAR. Can anyone identify this chassis for me?

Cheers, Justin

Am i the only one who thinks its silly when people through a 18oz chunk of aluminum extrusion over the entire barrel, causing them to mount the scope 2.5" over the bore, run a adjustable check piece that adds weight and then skeletonize the bolt handle? Weird...
Function. Function. Looks. Not sure what the issue is?

Skeletonizing the bolt handle is function, function? What’s your junction?

Different, kinda neat looking, but that’s some tacticicool shit if I’ve ever seen it. You would measure those “weight savings” in grains.

That "chunk of aluminum" works pretty well to diffuse mirage if it's cut correctly. There's usually a reason why some chassis are designed the way they are.

No. But I see a lot of decisions that were made for aesthetic rather than practical reasons. Come to think of it there may be a few guns in my safe because I love how they look.

Yea, but its came off the rating mass of the bolt, so you can run it faster....:LOL::ROFLMAO:

Rails are function. Mirage and NV mounting
Adjustable cheekpiece is function
Skelotonized bolt know. All for looks

They are known for building light weight rifles and shave weight everywhere they can.
Some of it is pretty functional some of it just looks unique and is eye candy for some.
I am one of those that are also patiently awaiting the chassis to be sold separately and have even contemplated buying the rifle for the chassis just not there yet.
