I see that up to now I have 44 posts but in my profile it shows 16/100. I assume that means 16 of 100 for selling purposes. So why the difference?

Are you sure you aren't looking at the number of messages you have? You can only have a max of 100 saved messages. I might be wrong though.

Private messages are not posts, your post count is the 45....
