Not only interesting to hear what the respected people on this site shoot and trust, but also the various weapons they have come to respect over the years. There are a million gunsmiths and builders out there. Who do they trust the most and who would they cheat on themselves with if you will

Shoot my own stuff? I can't even remember the last time I got to do that. I did smoke one through my new G19 just to make sure it went bang.
I'm on a short leash these days. Little time to go shooting anymore.
But. . .
. . .if I could my "go to" is my loose copy of my M40A1 built on a Nesika. It's been through hell and keeps on truckin. My Nesika 300-338 Lapua Magnum slinging 125 grainers at ludicrous speeds is fun too.

well I'm not one of the popular ones you asked for but I'll contribute
I shoot all the strange barrels that are curved, oversized, messed up, and otherwise different from the others because testing stuff interests me. Prototype rifling and new manufacturers that are willing to send free stuff and let me burn it up. Theres a mound of barrels with 150 rounds through them somewhere around here...
Seems like a lot of builders DONT always save the good stuff for themselves; but you would be impressed with my personal barrel shelf if you know what i mean

Mutt: best post of the day, I've always pictured the scene from ferris bueers day off when they drop the car at the parking garage as to why it takes so long for rifles to come back. Shit if I had 20 or 30 top end rifes and scopes in all different configs with optics sitting there you better believe I would be out "testing" them

The last gun I fired was a 10 gauge single shot break action converted to 1.25" water pipe. It is for testing pistol barrels with hot loads.

I did the same thing for several years but decide to rotate all my rifles to LH. Glad I did.

With more of the "tactical" competitions that I compete in going toward higher round count and handling your rifle in close quarters I have been practicing with my new state of the art rifle. Shown here with my son testing the feed system in the shop.

This one was no test barrel, and its got a lot of my attention recently. 300 RUM 32" Rock 10tw 1.350" straight, BAT model M (?). MBR improved stock by Joel Russo in a wild ass maple, 19.5MOA to 1K and it hammers

Very nice attention to detail. I like how the stock in this pic has a piece of wood left between the ejection port and the bolt release. I know some people would not have left anything there. Looks SHARP!

So far Bug Holes and Jared have the best two looking rifles in this thread and Terry wins for originality.
