Rifle Scopes What do you think about the Millet BK81006 6-25x56

First of all, I am a complete rookie when it comes time to scopes. I have a Savage 110FCP 338LM Rifle bare right now.

Trying to get some advise on the best scope for 1 mile+ shots. Just target for now;

The Millet BK81006 6-25x56 looks like a pretty decent riflescope, but the Nightforce brand appears to be the most popular.

Advice?

I had one for a few months.

Pros
Great glass for the money
Tracked well/held zero
120 moa of internal adjustment

cons
the turrets are junk

I used mine alot since it was my first scope and rifle so I was shooting it whenever possible. The eye relief on the higher power wasn't that great but it wasn't a deal breaker.

So after three months of heavy use the turrets failed on mine. Instead of having the tube that the turret sits on engraved with lines and numbers to let you know how many full turns you were up, it was a piece of plastic glued to the tube. Well it came un glued and the scope was useless.

Millet took care of it and sent me a new one in a few weeks, no questions asked. I picked a Ior up the day I sent it in for repairs, so I never used the new one they sent back.


I think it would be great for a rifle that is not going to be shot much/safe queen

it is a great cheap first scope, and the only sub $400 scope i would use for long range. i just replaced mine with a vortex viper PST but the Millet LRS had no problems.
