What else do you do?

Re: What else do you do?

WOW, way too much information on a couple of these.

Road cycling 300 - 400 miles a month in the summer. Though I have seen occasional 500 and 600 mile months. Not bad for 52.

Dreaming up new loads for the rifles. Never get around to actually doing any reloading but I sure think up a lot of good loads.

Trying to figure out where in the hell the antifreeze always disappears to in my 2000 Cherokee and trying even harder to figure out why the damned thing never shows hot.

Re: What else do you do?

This time of year, I like to stop at the Gay Bar.

Re: What else do you do?

Greg, you ever visit www.smallflyingarts.com and the forums over there? Or the hippocket builders forum? Both great places for stick and tissue models. I have a number of Easy Built and Golden Age Reproduction kits, along with a healthy collection of plans from the likes of Earl Stahl, Walt Mooney, etc. Haven't built anything in a while (I re-discovered the Hide, LOL!), but I'm about to be unemployed, so I'll have some time on my hands.

My other usual hobbies include scuba diving, sportbikes, building and flying model aircraft, ham radio stuff, just started on the guitar and harmonica, and I someday hope to add a commercial helicopter rating with a fixed wing add-on. Skydiving sounds like a blast as well, but the heli rating has priority.

I should take up reloading as well, haha! Gotta track down a wife at some point as well, I guess.

Re: What else do you do?

Oh yes, those were among the first. My downloaded plans library now contains upward of 400 plans and other images. My brother Bill was a gas power Free Flight Endurance competitor in the Phoenix area, until his death two Springs back. His multi-decade evolving design was called the Robot.

Re: What else do you do?

I don't have to many outside interests, everything revolves around firearms. Ride the quad take the guns, go camping take the guns.... But there is one. i like riding the bike.
Honda 1000RR 2007 fireblade. I ride this through the Adelaide Hills or go to Mallala race track when they have open day's. they got an open day this Sat which I'll be going to.
My front tyre is a bit shagged, i hope it holds out this w/end.

Regards Albert.

Re: What else do you do?

I used to fish every week. I used to fly model aircraft every other evening. I used to roadrace motorcycles twice a month. I used to shoot USPSA twice a month.

I'm now a first time dad at age 43, and I'm lucky to do just one of those things every week or two. Not complaining, just life.

Re: What else do you do?

Greg, sorry to hear of your loss!!

I'll have to look into his design some. I don't do much gas stuff aside from 1/2A (just because they're fun to use), but I could be pleasantly surprised! If you're still active on the other forums (SFA, HPBF), what's your screen name?

AAM, I'm using my phone to surf the net right now, and your screen name and location weren't visible to me as I read your post. However, I knew you were in either the UK or Australia based upon your calling the 1000RR a Fireblade, haha. I LOVE the UK published bike magazines (BIKE, TWO/VisorDown, etc.). Way better than what gets published stateside.

Shane, nice Busa. More bike than I'll ever need, and they're not really my style, but you have to respect the bike! Keep the rubber side down, gents!
