Suppressors What Happens If You Get Rejected?

Re: What Happens If You Get Rejected?

rejected
i mean alot of class 3 dealers i think do not stock from what i've read so they either order it for you or you buy it from a non local and have it shipped to them.

the item is tied up on paperwork for 3-6 months.

anyone ever been faced with this problem?

if you are a suppressor dealer out there reading this, how do you handle it?

Re: What Happens If You Get Rejected?

I think Maelek they would end up holding it for you as you technically still own it you just can't possess it. You'd then have to sell it to someone else and have your SOT transfer it to their SOT.

It is your responsibility as a gun owner to know if you are in good standing. If there is an issue with the NFA forms and you are of good standing and already own firearms, I would get a lawyer to write an appeal and ask for the reasoning that they rejected your forms. it is usually something minor and easily clarified.

Re: What Happens If You Get Rejected?

I agree with KYS338, we are going to start charging people who get denied or rejected on firearm purchases or the like. You know good and well if you are allowed to buy a firearm, and we will charge you now if you waste our time. We had one guy come in and try to buy an AK, and he got rejected, and was so surprised by it. Later that day local law enforcement come in asking about him because he's on the run for attempted murder

Re: What Happens If You Get Rejected?

This is what we do at the store I work at;

1. If the item is a stocking item we refund full price.
2. If item was ordered just for you we ask that you sell it to someone or sell it for a consignment fee
3. If item was transferred to us on a form 3 and we were just the holdin till form 4 cleared we charge our regular NFA fee of $50. Then it is "buyers" responsibility to see if original dealer will take item back and issue refund. If no refund will be issued and we have a market for item we buy at wholesale price at "buyers" loss. Or you keep in our safe till you find a buyer and we start paperwork on them an charge our NFA fee

We only had 1 person get denied and it was cause his trust was registered out of state. So he reregistered his trust instate and got approved

Re: What Happens If You Get Rejected?

If you're rejected then you're a felon/wife beater and we don't give a shit about you.

<span style="font-size: 14pt"><span style="color: #FF0000">Nah, JUST KIDDING!</span></span>

Kind of...

Everyone around me has a percentage cost for denials, also on vanilla guns. Ranges from 10-20% of the purchase price, so the store still makes their profit margin wasting their time dealing with you.

A full refund means you wasting the stores time, space, tied up their money/inventory, and gave them a NICS ding; all for nothing.
