What is up with the “new badges” ?

    So I know that Frank turned on the “Badges” to help know who has been doing what.. but how does this work? What are the thresholds?

    Private
    Private First Class
    Sergeant
    Full Member
    Paid for Sale Access
    Online Training

    I get having multiple badges like “Full member” & “On line Training Member” (I paid as a way to support the hide the $15 bucks)....

    But I am seeing some guys with “private” & “Full member” & “Paid for Sale Access” .

    Maybe Mostly what I do not understand how somebody could be both a “Private” and “full member”

    I think one of the badges triggers off of "join date" and the other triggers off of post count. I could be wrong, but that seems to be what dictates the two different badges. I am sure Frank knows for sure though.

    I don’t know how you’d game post benchmarks. That isn’t my concern at all. Hell, go a step further and I rather say you need a certain number of “likes”

    Either way, it only makes sence if we know what it means..

    Those are all good points.
    I was thinking back to the root of Lowlight’s post about the px and folks taking advantage of his kindness.
    Those that get off on exploiting loopholes.
    If you lay out the benchmarks of the new loop holes they have to jump through, is that giving them the map of what to do so they can once again resume their fuckery.

    At that point there are still other means of recourse.
    But this is all above my pay grade and out of my hands anyway. It just got me to thinking that’s all.

    I was also wondering the same thing. At first I was concerned I wouldn't be able to sell anything, not that I ever have or ever will. I typically don't use the PX for selling stuff as i am not here for that. However, I did notice some have "for sale access" and others don't. I'm now guessing they paid for that vs earning it? If so, I should be good.

    I do know, if a member has ever paid the for sale access fee they will have that tile. Even if it was some time ago and they have now meet the requirements for another "status'" tile. If you look at mine, I have for sale access and full member. I paid for the for sale access when the hide came back from Scout as I couldn't remember my old login. But have over 100 posts now.

    I kind of like seeing “full member” by my name. In case there was some doubt about my member.

    I can’t recall if it was when we changed to scout or when we left scout,a lot of folk had their tag lines read ....xxxx number of posts before the changeover or words to that effect.

    1. I said I had to look at the system

    2. Nothing permanent was announced

    3. We mentioned multiple times we wanted to automate the process as much as possible

    4. See number 1

    5. Once I dig into the system to understand how I can adjust it, an announcement will be made

    6. Shit changes deal with it

    Please let this be a thing for whoever wins the cup. It would be hilarious.

    I kinda like the badges because it lets me see who is a commercial supporter of the site and that lets me support those guys and also look out for the ones who are just on here to dump their stuff and leave instead of having a simbiotic relationship with the hide.

    I know better than to argue with you, however I have to take issue with 'the biggest bunch of drama queens' remark. That is not possible. I work with the biggest group of drama queens and as far as I know, not one of them is a member here.

    +1 on what LowLight said!

    Drama Queens need to take some Midol and relax.

    My teen daughter used that one on me over a decade ago. Her comment was so effective at bringing me down off my soapbox, I never forgot it. Can't even remember what I was chiding her about.
