Looking to put a decent light and laser on my ar with a hogster thermal. Haven’t messed with lights and laser on rifles for 10 years. What’s some good options that will hold up well. Also open to separate light and laser.

It depends what your usage is. If it's just a backup take a look at the tlr-virii. Small, light, and cheap. Ir laser and Illuminator with a white light. I wish a US manufacturer would make a similar form factor with a bit more power but the tlr works for up close

If you want serious range you'll need a d2, perst, mawl etc. Or pair up a powerful illuminator like the kiji with a laser.

The Streamlight TLR-2HL comes in Red or Green and is a good mix of cost and quality. You can mount them in front of a forward vertical grip or use the back plate that takes a pressure pad.

Surefire and Steiner are more heavy duty but cost more.

You might want to seriously consider a dual IR/Visable laser setup. If you have friends with Night Vision you can point out things you see in the thermal to them with IR. And if you don't already have night vision, it is the next logical purchase and you will want it then.
