Title says it all. Im wondering what type of machines scope rings, bases, and chassis get machined on. Possibly a combination of all of them? I'm not a machinist, thus the very generic question.
Thanks.
They can be run on 3, 4 or 5 axis machines.
It just depends on how refined the design is and how many ops you want to move each part through to get a finished product.
Have a look into Spuhr factory. We check the production and a world of scope mounts and accessories. An astounding number of well designed mounts to address all users, platforms and needs.

Spuhr runs 5 axis mills with robots. Benefit of running a 5 axis is you can run 3 axis programs using the other 2 axis to position without refixturing.
