Hi Guys. Was down at the range yesterday testing some handloads and it occurred to me that I have never really be shown if there is any particular right or wrong magnification setting to use at said distance.
Now I know that there are multiple factors that would sway one to decide on what magnification they use, but is there any one gospel rule or is it all just personal preference?
In order to get the best groups when punching paper at 100 yards or meters do you prefer to have the scope zoomed in low or high?
For me personally I have noticed that I prefer to shoot on lower magnifications as I can see the target clearly and sight picture loss doesn't seem to be an issue especially on larger calibers, however is this potentially lowering my potential paper punching accuracy?
Thanks in advance for your responses
