    Hey guys,

I have an AX coming and I would like to get some advice on optic mounting options. The scope I'm going to be using is a S&B 5-25. I would like to keep the scope as low as possible but still have enough room for butler creeks.

Any suggestions on the best ring/mount height?

    Thanks!

Take a look at the Nightforce MagMount (A162) - it is 1.44" high and has 0moa of taper with 3 clamping jaws

I have a Spuhr 1.35 mount, 0 MOA which barely clears the rail, Im using Tennabraex covers which which take up more real estate then the Butler Creeks.
    Mile High stocks these

I have an HDMR mounted on one and have Badger Extra High mounts, High would probably clear but would be really close. With a stock with an adjustable comb there is no reason to be worried about getting it as low as you can go.

Spuhr. If you plan to keep the top picatinny rail a 1.35 WILL NOT clear a 56MM scope, it wouldn't clear my 50MM. You will need the 1.46" version or whatever it is. Just straight 0MOA since the AX has built in cant.

The 1,35" mount is 0 moa and is 34mm high.
    The 5-25x56mm S&B is 62mm objective.

That means that on a long flat rail will the objective be clear by 3mm.......

So what 50mm scope do you have and what is the outside dimension of that?

Sounds really weird, wonder what gone wrong.
You are sure you got a 1,35" and not a 1,18"?

What was the rest of your setup?
Is it an AIAX? with 30 moa rail?
Or is it an AX chassi with a remtington 700 with 30 moa rail on the action and straight rail on the chassi?
