What primer and paint for synthetic stock.

Thanks for the input fellas. I have used GunKote and Krylon. The Krylon rubs off fairly easily and is vastly different than your the results you experienced with the Cerakote. Anyone else before I pounce on some Gunkote?

I've got some gun coat I've never used Ill have to give it a try. From what I understand to prevent runs the part needs to be hot.

Looking to prime and paint a McMillan, a Stockade and a H-S Precision stock to do a DIY paint job. What are your preferences for Primer and Paint?

Thanks

I painted my AAC-SD factory hogue stock and put in DBM to use for hunting only since the stock is very light. Everyone said hogues are hard to paint, so of course i had to give it a shot. I sprayed about 4 coats of clear Duracolor Adhesion Promoter (basically a clear primer) that i got from Autozone before adding to Krylon. The clear primer is made for use on auto vinyl and plastic prep prior to painting. So far it has held up very well with minimal touch up needed from wear. I use it as a primer for anything i paint on a rifle now even with Alumahyde
