What primer has everyone settled on for the Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor brass?

My recommendation would be to test a couple, YOUR test has more worth than all the opinions you get here. 205M here, was with 6mm-6.5x47 Lapua also. My reasoning on not going to a magnum is the small flashole also.

I am using CCI 400's, SD with RL16 has been almost all single digit during load dev. The load I settled on is producing 4 SD on average across 10 shot strings. I got a hold of some fgmm primers but didn't notice any difference in SD.

thanks for all the info i saw 6.5 guys useing magnium primers on Lapua brass is this recommended or just preference for i just switched from Hornaday brass to Lapua brass in 6.5 creedmoore. Everything was out of stock so i ha togo with remington small rifle primers any advice or knowledge of those.

I ran a test with my current pet load (140 RDF, 4451) using 450s, BR4s, 400s, and Federal 205 (regular SR, not match) primers. They were all surprisingly similar - to the point that they could basically be interchangeable. But, the BR4s had the largest SD of the bunch (SDs were 10-12). ES was within 4 fps for all 4. The Federal SRs yielded the smallest SD, and the 400s yielded the most velocity (about 10 fps average faster than the other three). In my gun, with that load, I don't see BR4s being any better than anything else - certainly not without tweaking other things first.
