What scope do you have on your 22?

I bought 3 Athlon Ares BTR scopes for my 3 precision type rimfire and I am liking them a lot for the money. Great value IMO.
March 5 - 40 FFP. Not only to annoy people but to see the bullet holes at 300m.
I shoot rimfire more than anything else and love to experiment with different scopes. Right now, there's a good selection of SHV's, NXS, NF BR, Vortex PST's, XTR II, Sig Tango 6, Sightron 10-60 and a bunch of Leupold 3-9 EFR's and 6.5-20 EFR's.
When my Vudoo gets here, it'll wear either a 7-35 ATACR or a 12-50 PM II.
Budget and use determine a lot.

I just shoot occasionally but I really like the Sightron SIII 10-50x60 it parallax’s down to about 10 Yards, good glass and I can see bullet holes at 100 yards no problem.
When shooting toothpicks they look huge at 50 yards.

S&B 3-20x50 had been on for years, I prefer higher mag though.
Recently tried a Cronus BTR but I don't like how the .2's transition to .5's at 1 mil of holdover.
Gonna try the Ares 4.5-27 because I like the reticle.
If that doesn't appeal to me I'm getting a NF 7-35/H59.

My old Smack the Smiley rifle wears a 3-15x42 SS SWFA, parallax can be adjusted as close as 6 meters. Glass is good enough to watch the bullet arch in on white paper targets or when hunting in snow.

Have an el cheapo Bushnell 3-12x40 on my old 10-22, another inexpensive Tasco 6-24x40 on a Rem 541T, Weaver T24 on Win 52D, Sightron 24x on an Anschutz 2011, and Athlon Cronus 4.5-29x56 on 40X, 40XB, & V-22 repeaters.
I shoot at max power almost exclusively. I did shoot an Extreme Silhouette match last weekend that had a Squirrel class which required a factory rifle with the scope power no higher than 9X. I was still able to make fairly consistent hits on the turkeys at 177 and the rams at 200, but it was really difficult to see impacts on the steel plates for sighter rounds.

I have the Athlon Argos BTR on my AR22 upper and love the glass and features for the money. Looking for a scope to put on my new CZ 455. Currently looking at the Athlon Ares ETR 4.5-30x56 MIL with their .03 floating center dot APRS1 FFP reticle.
Ive used and competed with SWFA 5-20, Burris XTR2 5-25, Bushnell HDMR 3-21, Nikon FX1000 and March 5-40 in local rimfire matches.
The March wins obviously but it currently resides on my air rifle. Ive sold the Bushy and SWFA as the XTR2 just is better overall design and scope for the $$ and most importantly, I like the retc the best. They just need to come out with a SCR tree retc and I will be happy.
I don't trust the Athlon line, other than hearing good things on the one that's 1800 so that's out price wise. Would way rather have a Gen2 razor than an Athlon. Esp after KillSwitchEngage tracking tests showed some anomalies with Athlon tracking and both the Bushnell and Burris were "boringly accurate"

It depends on what your intended goal is for the rifle. I am happy with my NF ATACR F1 4-16X42 on my Anschutz...
But I have had a lot of scopes on rimfires over the years, just depends on the job.

I use a Vortex Crossfire II 6x18x44 on my CZ455 for bench rest and long range and a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire Target EFR 3x9x40 for Rimfire Sporter matches on a Remington 597.
I have a [unwieldly] Cz 24” PT that I run with a can and have a SS 3-15 ffp mil/mil on.

Vortex Gen 1 PST, 6-24 mill/mill. Works best from 12x to 18x. It was a loose scope sitting all alone in the box, so I put a 455 .22 under it.

Shit, some of you have some serious glass and serious magnification on those .22's!
I put a Vortex 1-4 PST MOA on it. I had a hard time finding one I liked that wasn't a fortune and that one fit the bill. It's probably a good scope for much more rifle but it works great on this integral Kidd. No complaints.
The USO rings on it cost more than the damn scope did, but I had 'em on hand and they fit...

Double damn! Do you co-witness a red dot as a target finder? I was looking at that for a DTA HTI and settled on a USO 5-25 instead... I've just never been one to like much magnification but I do like a large FOV.
Ok, someone here has to be the Dinosaur, I'm it! B&L Balvar 6X24 on my Win 52D, Tasco 705's 6X18 on my 52C and 52B, all heavy barrel bench guns. Love the classic old school looks, glass is better than most would think and people do come over to look at them! All shoot better than me most days. Oops, modern time out, Weaver 36X on a Cooper 57LVT and a B&L Elite 4000 6X24 on my Rem 40X.
The only "scope" a self-respecting shooter who was born and raised with a rimfire in his hands and offhand all the way has on his 22s. A Mark 1 Mod 0 Eyeball. With "back-up iron sights", of course.

I also have the SWFA SS 3-15x42 and this weekend I could actually see the bullet coming down from it's arc shooting at a target 150 yards out. I thought I was seeing things but others said they can sometimes see their subsonic .22 rounds. Now I'm sure it wasn't 100% because of the scope, but I will say it has pretty good clarity and resolves .22 cal bullet holes at 200 yards without too much difficulty if the mirage isn't bad. I do think it's a little sharper at 15 power than my Gen 1 PST 4-16x50 is at 16 power, but the eye-box is very unforgiving at 15 power, more so than the PST at 16 power. But I shot this scope in a PRS style .22 match and I was running it anywhere from 6 to 12 power and it worked great. Paralax was nice also, easily focuses at the advertised 6m and beyond.
For now, I plan to share this scope between my .22 rifle and an AR15 SPR. So far, a very nice scope for $525 during a 4th of July sale.
