What scope do you have on your 22?

Leupold vx-2 in 4x12 with AO, at night the big 24 or 36 will be worthless. The AO will let you shoot accurately close or far with a crosshairs that you will be able to see, and not float around.

S&B PMII 5-25x. Same one I have on my centerfire bolt gun. Not a cheap option but if I’m building a ‘trainer’ rifle then I wanted to duplicate the stock, optic and trigger. The Vudoo allowed me to do this very easily.

I just mounted a Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 Second Focal Plane with side parallax adjustment down to 10 yards to infinity, on my BSA Martini Mark II International; that I recently purchased on GunBroker.

I have two .22s. The first one, my trainer, has a S&B PMII 5x25 for the same reason others have stated. It is my trainer. I want the same glass as my centerfire. The other wears a Sightron SV 10x50 SFP with the MH reticle. This scope is great for its magnification (think KYL targets) and its ability to focus down to 13 yards.

Fedderson barrel 10/22 - Leupold ultralight EFR 3-9x33 Fine Duplex
Kidd Ultralight barrel 10/22 - Clear ridge 3-9x33 AO Mil dot
RAR predator - Bushnell TRS-25 red dot (set up for kids to shoot right now)

Just picked up a Savage MKII FV-SR last week. Called Doug at cameraland to ask his opinion on the difference between the Athlon Ares ETR and Cronus BTR. Doug offered a great deal so I ended up pulling the trigger on the Ares ETR 4.5-30x56 mil in brown. He had it to me in 2 days and threw in a matching brown sunshade and scopecoat.

I may end up putting my Midas Tac on the 22lr since its parallax goes down to 10 yards. 7041845

Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50 NPR2 Reticle. I’m gonna send it back to NF and have the reticle swapped out for the NPR1. I think it’s a much more usable reticle

Just picked up an Athlon Ares BTR 4.5-27x for my CZ455 Varmint in a DJ-modified Boyd's Pro Varmint. I'm sure the sale Athlon is running on these was prompted by a new product coming out soon, but this is a pretty nice scope. I'm looking forward to taking it out to the range and comparing it to my friend's Viper PST Gen 2 5-25x and Midas Tac 6-24x

just bought a Razor Vortex AMG 6-24x50. parallaxes down to 25yds, made in the USA, goes up to 24x, only 29oz.

my requirements: parallaxes to 25yds or less, 4-6x to 24x+ mag range, great glass, perfect tracking, ZS and IR, tree reticle.

Contenders I considered, but didnt go with:
>Cronus BTR: like the dot reticle, wanted locking turrets. this would be my top choice if it had locking turrets.
>Ares ETR: Like the reticle and features, wanted something nicer quality and made in Japan or a western democracy, i still might get this in the future.
>Razor HD Gen II: 4.5-27 doesnt parallax down to 25yds, 3-18 doesn't have the range I want, also heavy af.
>ATACR, Kahles, S&B, USO, etc: too expensive. maybe in the future
>Viper PST Gen II: no locking turrets, great otherwise.
>March: not a fan of their warranty, altho I love the huge mag range.

I'm currently using a Vortex AMG but might be changing it out sometime soon for a Athalon Ares ETR. I currently have 27 mils of elevation but the change would get me 32 mils and get me out to close to 600 yards on the turrets. The Athlon would also give me a 25 yard parallax were the AMG only goes down to 35 yards. That would setup my rifle for everything from NRL22 to ERL22 matches.

are you having issues getting it to parallax? the AMG should go all the way down to 25yds

Great scope & great rifle, not enough magnification for my eyes. But i’d like to follow your progress with it.
Well just had weeks ago Cataract Surgery in both eyes with new lens installed so right now the world bright and colorful.
I also have A/R S&W with Nikon 3-9X40 scope, which now is crystal clear viewing.
There is a new world to see out there, without glasses.

Have you shot that combination yet?

You talking to me, mang? Are you... Talking to me?? J/k

And no I have not. Been busy building and fixing a couple other gun projects. Couple retro A1 clones, 16" barrel Surgeon bolt, and my new KAC baby.

If the weather is nice, I may be able to get out for an hour in the morning

If you want the best leupold is the best.that being said why put a $500 scope on a 22? Try a bsa sweet,or a mueller, heck I have a barska with 40 magnification that works just fine off the bench.but if you are hunting then you need a hunting scope, fixed power forgiving eye relief etc, like the 2.5 leupold above. I prefer 4 x but I am old and blind. So the answer is 2 scopes with QD rings and your good to go.watch the sales they are coming up,buy the rings on amazon, they are far less expensive.put the shortest rings on that fit.i started out with a Tasso 2 x7. I loved it, then 3x 9 even better then 4 x 12 with AO on front , BSA sweet for 22, has turrets set up for 22 bullet weights,AO to 10 yards to infinity.great scope cost less than $100.now they have one with side focus , a little more money , but I’d bet it’s good. FYI at higher magnifications than 12 I see the target poa move every time my heart beats, so I shoot between beats.but if you have the money and everything else you want the leupold.i have one on a 308,just2.5 to 10 x but it is so clear the image is actually enhanced, and I swear bigger than the 14 x on my Vortex.but it cost a lot,so did the rifle and so does the match ammo.thats why I shoot 22 rifles a lot.And they make me just as happy and cost 10% of the 308.so shop and stay under $100 and maybe you’ll spend less than $200.

I have Leopold Mark II 3-9X40, on my 270 Win, which I will agree is the best scope I bought to date, but with this rifle I use to go to the range with my Military buddies, cutting paper. So if I later decide, I can switch scopes. Right now I have 4 rifles with scopes.
