Re: What scope would be good for a .22lr?
Hello,
I was (and still am) looking at Nikon and Leupold 'scopes for my Mk II BTVS.
However, there was a recommendation by someone I consider a rimfire guru, of the Mueller APV 'scope.
It's a 4.5x - 14x variable, AO adjustable down below 10 yards.
The glass is Japanese, and though assembled in China, it is done so through a the Japanese company and must pass Japanese inspection before being shipped here.
I have mine sighted in at 50 yards, know the hold over for 75 yards, and have the turret marked for 100 yards (24 clicks; 6 MOA).
It works very well for what it is, and I would compare the optical quality to Nikon, though neither approach Leupold.
Zero does not drift, and it has no problem returning to 50 yards after being taken up to 100yds.
