What stock did you choose for your Vudoo rifle?

KRG Bravo. I wanted a chassis, but I wanted it to look like a real rifle. ;) IMG_2351.jpg

I just started running a kmw sentinel on mine. I have short fingers and the sentinel grip gets my hand up close to trigger guard for a good 90deg trigger press.

Greyboe Ridgeback. I didn't think I was going to like it but when it arrived, I loved it. Nice bubble level built in. 2.5 inch flat for bags or a rest. The gun has two bubble levels. One on the ARC uni-mount, and one built into the stock. Both levels read slightly different from each other. I tend to use the one on the ARC mount. As a result, I can glance down to the stock, take the reading off the built in level........and I know exactly where the put the bubble so that the Bubble level on the ARC mount, is perfectly level shot to shot. I can do this without looking under the scope for the level on the uni-mount. Just that, in and of itself, made me fall in love with the Ridgeback stock. So easy to be 100% level, at a glance.

Im also fond of the J.allen, but im not paying 2000.00 for a stock. Period. It doesn't have a built in level. I doubt I will ever buy another stock that does not have that feature. It's one of those things that once you start using it, you can't do without it.

Agree with shooter x. I have a MPA chassis and love the bubble in the stock makes things real smooth always hated the bubble on the scope.

Great set up can you tell who makes the arca rail for the kmw

It’s an ingenuity gun works rail. I use them on all rifles now. Faster and more secure than an arca rail. More expensive, but worth it. Had a smith mill it into the stock.

Henderson precision makes a standard arca rail for the kmw if that’s what you would prefer.

I have a McMillian A 10 on order for mine a little wait as I shoot left handed . I have seen the new A 10 and like it. I have the A5 on both a 6 mm creedmore and a 40x 22-250 but I wanted a lighter less bulky stock for the Vudoo

Thank you. I definitely think it looks awesome with the AX stock on the AT chassis. I want to pick up an AICS for my recently acquired vudoo barrelled action and cant decide between an AT chassis and convert it or just get a used AX chassis.

I use AI chassis and a Manners T-5A mini chassis. Yes, the rifles in the top pic are 40X repeaters. Almost a Vudoo 1.0

My Vudoo lives in a AI chassis.

The Manners and I dont get along that well, I think, so it might be going on the shelf and moving back to an AI chassis.

For any JP APAC owners, what barrel length did you get? I would like 18inch but was told the muzzle wouldn’t clear the end of the hand guard. Is it bad if doesn’t clear the end of the hand guard since it is only .22lr? I like the look of 18inch better than the 20inch. Would appreciate pics if you have ‘em.
Thanks,
Nap

Still waiting on my Vudoo. Couple weeks to go. That said, I'd like to drop it in a Manners T4A or PRS, but that's unlikey to happen anytime soon. In the mean time it'll go with what I have on-hand. Either a CA MPR chassis w/14" forend, or a Bergara HMR stock - blasphemy, I know!

I’d like to try a manners too but ive never even seen one or a vudoo besides mine.
Here ya go Cuzz - my two V22 comp rifles - sniper gray Bartlein 22" Kukri in Manners scorched earth camo PRS1T , and graphite black Krieger 22" sendero in PRS1T GAP camo. The graphite black rifle is the first V22 action I bought and spun-up the Krieger bbl for. It used to sit in a Manners Elite T4A GAP camo stock, but after shooting the sniper gray Kukri in its PRS1T stock, I decided to get another one for the black bbl'd action. I've still got the Elite T4A GAP camo stock; guess I ought to try to sell it...

Did no one choose the wood stock version they were selling when these first issued?

It would have been my choice. I believe Kyle Taylor was making those stocks and they were beautiful.

Guessing the lack of buyers with my tastes is why I didn't see that option last time I was on their site.

I don't recall whether VGW ever offered the Taylor M40 style wood stocks or whether Mike or someone else just happened to try one of Kyle's stocks. I do remember seeing the photo of one set up with one of those walnut stocks, and felt it looked really cool in it.

Originally when they began marketing the Vudoo they had a rifle, either the crow or raven cant remember, that featured the wood stock.

It had a fantastic metal buttplate with checkering that matched the National Match butt plates on Springfield 03s.

Pretty sure KT had something to do with their manufacture.

Both purdy

I own 2 Vudoo V-22's now and they are both in a Manners PRS1T stock. I'm planning to buy one of the new V-22 singleshots when available and it will go in a McMillan Kestros stock. I also have another Manners PRS1T on order, I'm thinking maybe a V-22 mag in that one but haven't decided for sure.

ccollier - I've also got one of the V22S actions on order, and have been looking for a stock that would work as well for 22RF F-Class as for 22RF BR. Only BR stocks I have are a couple of Shehane Trackers on a couple of 6 Dasher LR BR rifles. McMillan makes a version of this stock, but IIRC, it has a 3" wide forearm, whereas my Shehanes are 2-1/2". There's little doubt in my mind that McMillan's inlet for the V22 would be much more hassle-free than working with the inlet of a Shehane stock. So it comes down to whether I want to go with a laminated wood Shehane with the 2-1/2" wide forearm that I prefer, or have McMillan do a Tracker for me and live with a 3" wide forearm.

The attached photo shows my M700 Dasher in an Indian paint Shehane tracker stock. The other one is on a BAT 3L in another tracker in French walnut - both are African obeche wood laminates.

Flatland1, I'm planning to build my V-22S mainly for F-class, I've never tried the BR game before but who knows what I might be doing in the future (I love to shoot anything rimfire). When I ordered my Kestros, I asked McMillan if they had the inlet for the V-22S and they said they did. I ordered it with the heavy fill and the 3 way adjustable butt pad. I also plan to have Stock Doc install KMW Loggerhead hardware for the cheek piece. Color will be molded in GAP Ambush.
