Looking to put a Vortex Viper scope on my LWRC REPR, the scope has a 30mm tube and was just checking to see if there is anyone else with the correct scope ring height, I'm guessing its either gonna be medium or high just dont want to buy 2 sets of rings to find out.

Re: What the proper ring height for a AR10 platform ?

something around 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inch high depending on how big your head is since the stock is very close to the top of the receiver.
most manufacturer have "AR" hight rings.

Re: What the proper ring height for a AR10 platform ?

Since the REPR is a piston AR, it should be closer to the 1.125-1.250" range.

The DI platform tends to run in the 1.375-1.500" range.

Wonder what it would be with a Larue OBR. I know 1" rings allow a 50mm objective to barely clear the picatinny... maybe with 1" rings i would allow you not to use a cheek riser?
