the tube is in a PVS 14 but Id rather have it in a clip on for medium range rifle use....... any suggestions or direction to someone who could do a swap of some sort

It's not as simple as just swapping the tube in another unit, clip ons aren't like PVS-14's. Whatever unit you put it in has to use that specific tube and I'm not aware of any clip ons that use the same tubes as PVS-14's though I could be mistaken.
You'd be better off selling the functioning PVS-14 and putting it towards a clip on purchase.

The Armasight CO-LR uses the Mx11769, which is in the -14. CO-LR is a sturdy housing. Might try Armasight to see if they'd do a housing and install?
Best bet is to sell the PVS14 and use the funds to purchase a clip on. There's a great market for used Gen 3 14's.
You can have that tube put into a CO-LR like mentioned above. Pm me if your interested in doing so, I know how to make it happen.
