Gentlemen,
On April 11, 2011 I placed an order w/Rainier Arms for nearly $1100.00. That order has failed to show up (I'm only 2 hours away by car) and the USPS tracking number that Rainier gave me only brings up the following:
Class: Priority Mail®
Service(s): Signature Confirmation™
Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received
The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on April 12, 2011 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.
After speaking w/Rainier several times they stated that they have opened a claim on my behalf but ultimately I have to deal with the USPS and that they're not responsible. After speaking with the postmaster here in town, he stated since Rainier failed to purchase insurance that I have no claim but that he'd try and locate the package.
I have always have had very positive things to say about Rainier Arms up until now but I think I'm done dealing locally and taking my business elsewhere (more than 6k this first quarter alone). King County Small Claims, here I come....
Who knows, maybe the package will eventually show up, but how long am I supposed to be patient?

Addendum:
Paul Hwang from Rainier emailed me and asked me to be patient until May 7th, after that if the package has not been found that he'd work with me on replacing my parts. How about just refunding my money? I'll keep this updated.
Addendum 2:
Spoke with Paul Hwang on the phone, he has promised to take care of me if it doesn't show up by May 7th. I asked what that meant and he finally stated that he'd refund my money or replace my parts. Fair enough, that's all I have wanted to hear from the start.
