They are 30mm and attract a magnet. Badger? Not sure, but if so, I would think that the top part of the rings would be much better matched to the bottom.

Re: What type of rings are these?

Thanks - my first pair of Badger rings. Got them when I bought a NF on the classifieds here. Most of the other rings I've used before (NF, TPS, LaRue, Leupold MK4) are matched on the top and bottom.

What's the purpose for the Badger rings to be like this?

Re: What type of rings are these?

They actually do match up. It just appears like they dont because of the relief cut on the bottom halves and because rings dont make a complete circle, if they did they would not be able to hold proper tension(if any) on the scope tube. This is the reason why you have that gap in between rings halves when you mount a scope and torque the top halves to the bottom halves. Badger's are pretty much known as the industry standard.

Now of course if you think you may not be able to have confidence in them you could always just send them to me, heck I would even pay for the shipping. (obviously just kidding) but on a serious note- they are great rings, use with confidence.

Ugh. Luckily, it's just nasty marks in the anodizing and not dimples or dings in the scope itself. I have other NF optics and the view on this one through the scope is just as good. Tracks true like a NF should.

Thanks for the info on these rings.
