Very fair, I think I wrote my reply wrong. I'm definitely satisfied. Zero disappointment other than the initial trade oopsyI think that's fair.

absolutely this.Blow that dude up in the negative feedback section if he isn’t willing to make it right. He traded you a fucked up carrier and he’s in the wrong. He either owes you a new carrier or your barrel back for his POS BCG as well as any shipping costs your out of.
absolutely this.
I may not like arfcom for unrelated reasons, but they do run a tight ship in the sale and trade section
Failsafe my ass. That sounds like a bunch of malarkey.300 blk being fired in a 556 chamber. He also stated on the phone, hand loaded cartridges.
Would too powerful of a hand loaded cartridge be the same as a hot load?
He said that that area of failure is designed as a failsafe so that it gives way and fractures first rather than more catastrophic events occuring.
yeah, that’s booshit.M855a1 mixed in with your training ammo..... I'm not buying it....
I'm sorry, but your trading partner appears to have a terminal case of the stupid. He said, "I think I found the culprit"; then sent me this photo and said, "M855a1 was mixed in with his training ammo". Then bashed LMT a bit.

I mean sure, if he accidently put a few thousand rounds of M855a1 thru his full auto carbine length gun it might have cracked it. But M855a1 like $3+ a round and it's not like your going to accidently grab it off the shelf instead of 55gr plinking ammo at your local Cabelas. As why I'm here to get a more educated opinion of the matter at hand. My expertise in regards to these specifics; lack. I can read plenty but first hand experience from fellow members had been very helpful.
Ordered the new carrier today. Hopefully "trading partner "sends the funds he proposed yesterday via PayPal. His account wasn't "working"

.
Agreed; I give it til the end of the day.The longer you wait to call out the other party publicly, the more chances he has of scamming more people on that site.
Yeah thats BS. Broke college budget = PSA if your lucky. Never even knew anyone with something as fancy as an LMT when I was in school.Broke college kid buys LMT EBCG![]()

Sounds like you are waiting for him to pay the $155 for LMT to replace the carrier, that is a fair solution for all parties. Even then he should consider himself lucky as trading back with him covering the shipping would be a totally reasonable way to handle it.
Please do give negative feedback if he doesnt make this right. Ive been buying guns and gun related stuff from strangers for almost 15 years now with consistently good results. I recently bought a rifle through the Arfcom EE and got screwed over, first time this happened to me. Like your situation I am not sure if the seller knew the issue before selling, and unlike your situation I have no other evidence the guy is full of BS.
Okay, I'm a bit late to the party, but for anyone still reading...
1) 155 isn't a deal for an e carrier. LMT runs sales multiple times per year and regularly offer the e carrier for 149, as recently as last year.
2) How can you be sure the bolt isn't fucked? Might look fine but still be compromised. Whatever "event" that carrier went through, I'm sure the bolt went through it as well.
