A couple of years ago, I picked up Gen 1 Vortex Viper PST's FFP 4-16 and 6-24 with EBR-1 MOA reticles. Both were display models from Cabela's. My plans had been to try them out and maybe use them on some of my rimfires.

I ended up going in a different direction and am now thinking about selling both. I never see PST's locally and have no idea what a fair price is. The 4-16 has never been mounted and the 6-24 was mounted on a Sako FinnFire for a bit before being replaced.

What's a fair price for these?

TIA

Fair price is what the market will bear. Vortex PST tend to hold value a little better than Razor, but you are in the Gen1 world, and a lot has changed.

We do some trade-ins, but not with Gen1, as it is a tough market, but it is still a great scope, especially for a budget conscious shooter. I would take the high-end of your gut and feeback, and list on here on PX. The 'hide gets great products and good stuff at the right price sells. Pick a price, and go down 10% every week. You will find the market price. ;) Some might argue that you are high-balling your product, but the truth is -- with that vintage scope you just do not know until you try.

I can tell you that we have had Gen1 new scopes in the mid to high magnification, and we have struggled with prices above $600. I don't want to put words in the mouths' of my colleagues and competitors (they really are colleagues), but at least one dealer mentioned in this thread has also found they have needed to keep moving the floor lower on "new old stock" Vortex scopes.

All the best.

Prices of used scopes and guns can be a bit confusing, you wanna sell but you don't wanna low ball yourself. i usually think about the current condition/current price for brand new and allow offers, you might get a little bit more than what you thought you could get.
